1. To enable students to learn basics of civil engineering drawing.
2. To enhance skills of utilizing the knowledge of Civil engineering drawing for
communication and for civil engineering application.

1. Engineering Drawing and Equipment: Introduction to Engineering Drawing,
Drawing equipment and Drawing sheets
2. Layout and Sketching methods: Sheet layout and free hand sketching.
3. Lettering and Dimensioning: Learning lettering and different systems of
dimensioning in engineering drawing (Quiz 1 and 2)
4. Engineering scales: Concept of scales in drawing Construction of different
Types of scale.
5. Projections: Theory of projection and introduction to different types of projections
and its types.
6. Plan, elevation and section: Introduction to plan , elevation and section for
buildings.
7. 1st , 2nd , 3rd angle projections: Orthographic projections (1st angle projection) and
its examples.
