1. WHAT IS TRAINERS METHODOLOGY 1?

Ans. Trainers Methodology 1 consists of competencies a TVET trainer and/or assessor must achieve. A
TVET trainer is a person with strong industry background who enables a learner or a group of learners to
develop competencies to perform a particular trade or technical work. An assessor is a person appointed
by TESDA to evaluate candidates during national assessments on specific TESDA qualifications.

2. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF TAKING TM1?

Ans. The Trainers Methodology Certificate or TMC is a qualifying requirement for senior high teachers
under the TVL strand. Even before K12, industry professionals and skilled workers take this program to
become a registered TVET trainer for Tech Voc programs in TESDA registered schools and training
centers. Aside from being a trainer, you also have the option to become a TESDA Assessor once you have
upgraded your TMC to NTTC (National TVET Trainers Certificate). Please attend the orientation for

3. WHAT DO WE STUDY/LEARN IN TM1?

Ans. You will learn how to create a portfolio which includes learning modules, session plans, and other
essential documents used in training. You will also learn the proper way of filling up rating sheets and
other assessment documents should you plan to bexome an assessor someday. These documentary
requirements will improve your computer skills particularly in MS Office or iWork for Mac users. We will
also teach you the standard procedures, rules and policies in facilitating a learning session and
conducting a competency assessment. We will go through an effective yet practical approach in
preparing you for your TM1 assessment.

4. HOW MUCH IS THE FEE FOR THE WHOLE PROGRAM?

Ans. Fees vary according to your prior learning and training needs. For beginners, those who haven’t
taken TM1 before, training fee is Php10,000. For refreshers, those who already took TM1 from other
schools before but wishes to take a review or refresher course in preparation for assessment, ranges
from Php5,000 to Php8,000 depending on your previous output. Assessment fee for the full qualification
is 2k.

5. DO YOU ACCEPT WALK IN CANDIDATES FOR ASSESSMENT?

6. WHAT HAPPENS DURING TM1 ASSESSMENT?

Ans. First, you will be given an essay type written exam which is more or less 50 items in total. Then, you
and your partner will be called to enter the assessment room where a 3-member expert panel observe
and rate your performance during the demo. After the demo, you will be asked to sit down for a panel
interview. The panel will consolidate and deliberate all your assessment results and once finished, you
will be called for feedbacking and announcement of results.

7. AFTER I PASS TM1, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE MY TRAINERS METHODOLOGY CERTIFICATE?

Ans. 3 weeks to a month. We will update you once available. You only have to claim your TMCs in TESDA
Manila since we will be the one to handle all the filing for your TMC.

8. DO YOU HAVE WEEKEND CLASSES? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

YES. We have classes on Saturdays. We will meet for 5 Saturdays here in MISA while during the rest of
the week, we will monitor your progress online through our group chat and group page where we
answer all your questions and other concerns. We will upload instructions and visual presentations
online if you need more information about the previous lesson. You can also visit MISA during weekdays
should you need a 1 on 1 discussion about the lesson you missed or cannot understand. Please call us for

9. CAN I PAY THE TRAINING FEE BY INSTALLMENTS?

YES. You can pay at least Php3, 000 first to enroll and the rest of the amount can be paid by installments
as long as it is completed on or before your assessment day.
