Why Tredence?

‘Use the Right tool for the right Job’ This sums up my reason of joining Tredence. Firstly, a quick
background of myself, since my school days I was a number enthusiast which is evident from my
academic profile. I completed my Under Graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Post which I joined IBM India Pvt Ltd. as a Systems Engineer in the Quality Assurance domain. I
joined as a tester and within a span of 18 months I moved to the position of a lead. I led a team of
testers and acted as a Program lead interacting with 8+ teams internal to the organization and the
client. Despite all these my love towards numbers brought me back to the academics. Currently I am
pursuing my MBA in IIM Trichy. During my stint in IIM Trichy, I took up various Analytics subjects to
gain knowledge on how data can be analyzed, represented using tools like R and Tableau.

Now talking about Tredence, it is a company with values such as Insight for impact, customized
Design, Visualization, Enterprise Scale, Agile Mindset, Technology and Sustainable Analytics. I feel
some of these values resonate with my objectives of being Agile, Hunger for learning and urge to
make an impact however small it is. Hence, I believe Tredence would provide me the platform to
connect all the dots and showcase my Analytical skills as well as business acumen.

Why Analytics?

As an individual I was always believed in numbers. This belief is re-enforced by grades in SSC which
led me to opt for Mathematics in my Intermediate. Later I pursued my bachelors in Electronics and
communication Engineering, Electronics being the next intriguing subject after mathematics. After
my Under Graduation I joined IBM India Pvt. Ltd. as a Systems Engineer. I worked as a Quality
Assurance professional. Here I gathered skills like Understanding the client Language to be able to
decipher his pain point, adding value to the client delivery, putting the client first and innovation is
the key to value generation. Apart from that I also worked with the End user training team, which
helped me to understand the challenges involved. Even though I was learning the Technical and
Business aspects of project delivery, my love towards number crunching brought me back to MBA.
Solving the aptitude and Numerical Reasoning was a stress buster to me during my hectic office
days. Later I joined IIM Trichy to pursue my MBA. Here during the first year I was exposed to all the
core courses of various streams like marketing, operations, analytics, consulting etc. Again, re-
enforcing my previous interests, I was gravitated towards Analytics. So, I completed the Certified
Business Analytics Practitioner and Google Analytics. Later this led me to opt for courses in Analytics
which include R, Tableau etc... This is my Analytics journey.

Why MT?

“The only source of Knowledge is Experience” by Albert Einstein.

Being a graduate an IIM Trichy, I had the chance to interact with great analytics enthusiasts in my
professors and peers. I tried to learn as much as I can from them in terms to academic projects that I
took up, in class learning etc.… Apart from that my enthusiasm in Analytics led me to complete few
certifications like Certified Business Analytics Practitioner and Google Analytics for Beginners. All
these interactions and certifications provided me enough theoretical knowledge. But as they say,
“Knowledge comes from learning, Wisdom comes from living”. This Management Trainee role gives
me that living through which my knowledge can be put to practice. The characteristics of the grill
program being providing ‘data driven’ advice to clients, requirement of IT exposure and hands-on
coding enthusiasm are key attributes which made me opt for this program. I believe the Grill
program as mentioned by the current MTs will provide me a platform to showcase my analytical as
well as business skills to help generate value to Tredence and our clients.
