1.Diagram A shows the situation of a sheet of paper before and when air is blown. Diagram B shows the situation of
the tarpaulin before the lorry moves and when the lorry moves at a high speed.

In Diagram C, the levels of the water in the Venturi tube are the same before water flows. The speeds of water
atP, Q and R are vP, vQ and vR respectively.

3. Diagram A shows metal block P attached to a spring balance. The metal block is slowly lowered into the beaker
until it is totally immersed in the water. The readings of the spring balance according to its positions are shown
in Diagram B.

4. Diagram below shows a hydraulic system consisting of a small piston and a big piston. The small piston and
the big piston have areas of cross section of 0.02 m2 and 0.5 m2 respectively. When the holder is pressed
downwards, a force of F = 30 N acts on the small piston.
