KAHIMUNAN FESTIVAL  Bayugan City
Held on the 1st Sunday of January. A very version of the
Cebu’s Sinulog Festival, celebrating with street dancing
that depicts the culture of Bayugan’s indigenous tribes.
HAW-AN FESTIVAL Municipality of Bunawan
Held every 26th of January. This is inspired by the
abundance of the local mudfish.
KALIGA FESTIVAL  Municipality of La Paz
Held every 31st of March. The festival is based on
the “happy or joyous” Manobo culture.
UMAYAM FESTIVAL  Municipality of Loreto
Held every 25th – 31st of March. The word comes from
the Manobo term, “humuy: (rice); a celebration of the
Manobo practice of planting upland rice near the water.
KARUDAWAN FESTIVAL  Municipality of Veruela
Held every 21st of March. “Karudawaan” is a native term
pertaining to indestructible milieu. Features sturdy
bahay kubo.

TAPHAGAN FESTIVAL  Municipality of Sta. Josefa
Held every 31st of March. The word is derived from the
Manobo word, “taphag”, an offering of white chicken or pig
together with chicken eggs and mallorca to give thanks for a
bountiful harvest, to ask permission, or to seek cure.
SANTIKAN FESTIVAL  Municipality of Trento
Held every 12-15th of June. “Santikan” is a Manobo
term meaning “striking of fire”, portrayed though the
varied competitions held during the event.
KALIGA-ON FESTIVAL  Municipality of San Luis
Held every 15th of June. A thanksgiving that praises
the Magbabaya for the bountiful harvest and the
continuity of life.
MAGDIWATA FESTIVAL  Municipality of San Francisco
Held every 18th - 21st of June. It celebrates the Manobo
culture; ends with a street dancing parade on the 21st
which is also the town’s foundation day.
