Quiz Bee

• This is the first activity that the TLE Department held for its annual Nutrition
Month celebration. This contest was open for all grade levels in junior high
school, in which all students who are interested or chosen by their respective
teachers in TLE are to compete. The venue was on the Sir Bien 9 Bread and
Pastry Production. Thirty-six sudents joined the contest coming from different
specializations. The quiz bee consisted of three portions: easy, with one point for
each correct answer; average, with two points for each correct answer; and
difficult, with three points for each correct answer, with five items each. At the
end of the contest, Jomar Tibig, coming from 10- Elecronics coached by Mr.
Meneses, took the first place.

Tree Planting

• All students in junior high were invited to partake in this activity to plant
malunggay trunks at the back of the JHS building located in MNHS Annex. TLE
teachers provided the materials needed, including the plant to be planted and
equipment for planting. Teachers and TLE Student Officers facilitated the
activity.

Poster Making Contest

• This activity was open for all students in junior high school to compete in, in
which students from the Main campus have to come to the Annex buildings in
order to compete. The contest was decided to have a 3-hour duration for
students to finish their posters. After three hours, students finished their works and
the judges decided on which is the best piece. It is then announced that the first
place went to Sharisse Beginio, a BPP student under Mrs. Marlyn Soriano.

Cook fest

• This is the last activity of the TLE Department for its annual Nutrition Month
celebration. Again, this contest was open for all students in junior high school. A
cooking trio must be formed in order to compete in this contest. The main
ingredient of the recipe that students must make is malunggay, which should
consist 70% of the recipe. The time duration to cook their desired recipe was 1
1/2 hour, contrary to last years’ time duration which is 3 hours. Four judges were
invited to be the critics on the said event, but only three judges were present,
where they went from contestant to contestant to see if they have the
qualifications for the winning team. After the cooking time, it was then decided
that three recipes will be chosen in each of the courses: main dish, dessert, and
starch recipe
