MENSAHE
Sa ngalan ng Sangguniang Barangay at Barangay Development Council ay

nabuo ang isang Barangay Development Plan para sa taong 2015-2016 sa bisa
na nakapaloob sa RA No. 7160 na kilala bilang Local Government Code of 1991
at iba pang batas na kaakibat nito.
Sa tulong ng Barangay Development Council at sa mga naganap na

pagpupulong ng mga opisyales at kabarangay na kung saan napag-usapan ang
mga pangunahing proyektong dapat ipatupad sa barangay para sa ikabubuti ng
lahat ang nasabing plano ay nabuo at naaprubahan ng lahat. Ang nasabing
plano ang siyang magiging gabay at batayan para sa mga ipapatupad na
proyekto na magbibigay ng kaalwanan hindi lamang sa barangay kundi sa mga
naninirahan dito.
Ang suporta at pakikiisa ng mga opisyales at kabarangay ang isa sa mga susi
upang ang nasabing plano ay maipatupad para sa ikagaganda at ikakaunlad ng
Barangay. Mabuhay tayong lahat!

SOCIO-ECONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
MAIKLING KASAYSAYAN NG BARANGAY SAGUING
Ayon sa mga ninuno, ang Barangay Saguing ang pinakamatandang barangay ng
Talugtug. Ito ay napapalibutan ng Bayan ng Cuyapo at Munoz. Ang Talugtug ay barangay din
dati ng Cuyapo.
Noong 1948 isa ng ganap na barangay ng Talugtug ang Saguing. Ito ay matatagpuan
sa silangang timog ng bayan ng Talugtug. Ang produkto dito ay palay dahil sa napakaluwang
na bukirin. Ang pangunahing hanap buhay ng mga tao dito ay pagsasaka.

 Lokasyong Pangheyograpiya (Geographical Location)
Ang Barangay Saguing ay humigit kumulang limang (5) kilometro mula sa kabayanan ng
Nampicuan. Ito ay napalilibutan ng mga sumusunod na barangay:
Hilaga (North) : Barangay Villa Rosenda

Timog (South) : Barangay Fronda
Silangan (East) : Barangay Saverona
Kanluran (West) : Barangays Cabiangan and Mayamot 1

EXCERPT FROM THE MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING OF THE
SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF SAGUING, TALUGTUG, NUEVA ECIJA HELD ON MAY 25, 2014 AT
THE BARANGAY HALL AT 3:00 P.M.

Barangay Assembly Represented by at least 10% of the community
After ascertaining that a quorum was present, the floor was declared open for
consultation on the problems and immediate concerns of the barangay with the Punong
Barangay, RICHARD M. PORTACIO, presiding. Each issues were listed down and suggestions for
projects were carefully categorized. After almost everybody had aired their views and
suggestions, the meeting was adjourned at 5:00 P.M.
The results of the tally for suggestions on the projects to be undertaken out of the
barangay funds from the highest preference to the lowest are as follows:
Repair and maintenance of barangay road

Medical Assistance
Construction of Blitzers (mini-gym)
Repair and maintenance of multi-purpose buildings
Installation of Jetmatic (potable water supply)

(BDC) OF BARANGAY SAGUING, TALUGTUG, NUEVA ECIJA HELD ON JUNE 1, 2014 AT THE
BARANGAY HALL AT 3:00 P.M.
Present:

After ascertaining that a quorum was present, the meeting was called to order with the
presiding officer Punong Barangay, RICHARD M. PORTACIO.
The minutes of the Public Consultation Meeting held on May 25, 2014 at the Barangay
Hall was presented to the Council for correction and/or deliberation. After due deliberation and
after identifying the priorities for investment. the council has formulated the following
