Once, the Philippines was a complete mess

where in chaos is everywhere. Because of this the
king of Spain sent Bustmante to the Philippines as
the governer to fix the tax problems of the
country however the friars did not agree with his
ways, that's why they are contrasting his ways.
One night the friars just had enough that they
plotted to kill Bustamante and so they did and
succeeded killing him and his son Jose infront of
his wife Luisa while their eledest daughter being
raped. Furiously Luisa wanted to take revenge
and killed over 200 priests, every Palm Sunday
along side with her daughter Dolores and their
servant Macatangay. She was then named "La
Loba Negra" who attacks on certain nights to seek
revenge.

After reading the story “La Loba Negra” or “ The
Black She- Wolf,” I thought and We thought that it’s
really similar to the story of “Noli Me Tangere.”

Primarily, the story reflects the issues and problems

that we face now in the whole world. And this really
made me and us sad that until now we still face these
problems. Many countries in the world face some of these
issues like corruption and in our Country, we also face
this issue. There are many corrupt officials that takes
the money of the Filipino’s which is very very bad. Some
issues that we can also see in the story is one:
Discrimination against women or Gender Equality. It’s
really one of the main problems before, they do not give
and equal right to man and woman. And it’s really bad
so upon realizing this, we are really so blessed that we
are all equal now.

Looking into the character, it’s really quite shocking

because of some of the characters. It’s weird really, a
priest abusing a woman and is involve in corruption and
a woman killing and killing many people. So we are all
really shocked about the roles of some of the characters
but it’s the harsh truth. Those behaviors and traits are
clearly seen to other people and we really hope that
change will be coming soon. There will be no more
selfishness but there sill be love toward each other and
not hate.

 To Every Character:
1. Governor General Bustamante – If we are all given a
task, we should be responsible and do it right. In the
life of General Bustamante, we have seen that even
though he is not from the Philippines, he still become
nationalistic and let us show patriotism. We also
should show the love for our country and not be selfish.
To fight for the right and stop the wrong.
2. Dona Luisa – You should let Go and Let God. Revenge is
not the answer for the sins that someone did to you,
instead it’s forgiveness just like how Jesus forgave us in
our sins. In contrast, fight for what is right.
3. Friar Totanes – When you have the power and
position, you should use it in a right way. Aside from
that, if you are man of God, you should live a life
pleasing to the Lord not a life that is pleasing for
yourself. This friar proves that nobody’s perfect, we all
commit mistakes but mistakes should not be done
always and always. Change and be a better version of
yourself.
4. Auditor General Antonio Torralba – Honest is the Best
Policy. Happy are those who live with pure heart and
honesty. Be contented of what you have. Do not take
the things that is not yours instead do your work
properly and serve our country with pure honesty.
5. Dolores – Everyone has a right. Not because we are
woman, we are weak. Women should be strong and
fight for their right. Don’t let others just step on us.
6. Conchita – You should not snatch someone’s property.
What is yours is yours and what is theirs is theirs.
Don’t just become somebody’s mistress instead pray
and wait patiently for the right mana and woman
that God will give to you.
7. Macatangay – Do not conform with the bad examples
that we are seeing in this world instead have a
distinction. Be a different individual from the rest of
the others. Do what is right and Stand for what is
right this reflects the action that Macatangay did
when he helped Dona Luisa to kill.
8. Sandugo – Do not look from someone’s past but look
them in their heart. Sandugo accepted Dolores
wholeheartedly even if she had a bad past. True love is
accepting her/him truly for what he/she is and not
based on outward appearance and history.

 To the whole story:

Do not let your emotions rule you. If you let your anger,
sadness, or happiness lead you, you might make a wrong
decision. Stop, Breathe, and Pray. Revenge is not the answer
to someone who has done something bad to you instead it’s
prayer. Let God deal with them, surely the Lord will not let it
slide. Aside from that, show nationalism and patriotism to our
country. Do not be selfish instead, do what is right even if it
means setting aside yourself just for others sake. Choose
forgiveness over hatred and unforgiveness. Every happens for
a purpose. Understand and Move forward again.

In conclusion, the story “La Loba Negra” or “The
Black She-Wolf have shown different behaviors of people
before and until now. For example, the people who is
corrupted and use the money just for themselves, the
people who use their power in a wrong way. And this is
the most embarrassing fact that we have seen in La Loba
Negra that some priest take advantage of their position
nor capacity to do what they want like raping a
powerless woman.

A priest should be a role model to many people not being

rude. Yes, it is true that we are sinners and we are
already born as sinners but it doesn’t mean that we
should always be doing bad. Nobody is perfect but we
know what is good from bad right?

This play also have shown the issues that we are

facing nowadays. For example corruption, rape, killing
and other more. We should stop this things and fight for
what is right.

Lastly, other people take revenge to be “satisfied” or

call it “fair,” but actually it’s not the right thing to do.
When you take a revenge you just only plant a guilt to
your self that will eat you for the rest of your life and
make your life miserable so just forgive! It’s hard to love
someone whom you hate, but even God loved us so much
despite us sometimes hurting Him. No hate, just love.
