 How art was understood, appreciated and shared historically, both by artists and the

general public

Art is a wide array of human activities which involves creating auditory, visual and/or
performing artworks (Danto. 2013). Art has part of humanity and has been in place overtime.
Both artists and the general public had varied ways of understanding, appreciating and sharing
arts.

To begin with, artists understood art as a way of communicating beliefs and expressing ideas
about the human experience, whereas the general public understood music as a cultural practice
which hold a particular meaning in as far as humanity and life at large is concerned.

Subsequently, art was understood/appreciated by artists as an activity with comparative values as

any other activity partaken on a daily basis as either a means of livelihood or leisure activity. The
general public on the other hand understood art as handwork activity that was in essence for
leisure and pleasure.

Finally, in regard to sharing arts, artists exchanged their artifacts amongst themselves, this form
of interplay involved giving out one' s made material or know-how of making it. However, in
regards to the general public, they obtained artifacts from the artists through material or fiscal
exchange. Concisely, the artists traded their artworks with the public. However, in certain
instances, the artists voluntarily shared or given their artworks at no economic value.

How the discovery and appreciation of art has changed due to advances in technology

Technology has redefined, restructured and in general altered the scope of arts to a unique and
new ways.

To begin with, artists through electronic media can access information that guides and directs
them on ways to understand and make a particular artifact. Similarly, there are electronic device
operating systems like the software that has all information on how to create works of art (In
Menano, & In Fidalgo. 2017). This has increased the interest, pace and the efficiency of how
various works are learned and created.

Subsequently, internet services has made it easy and fast to view various visual arts which are
documented in film and photograph forms and posted on various websites and social media
platforms. These works of arts are now being presented and circulated online, thus, making it
needless to visit museums and galleries in order to access such artifacts.

Finally, both the public and artists can learn and understand all they need to know pertaining to
arts through the contemporary technological systems. This information can also involved thw
actual artists who made a particular art, the materials or resources used to make it, the process
through the art went. Basically, technology has provided a newer experience for both the general
public as well as the actual and potential artists.
How social and political happenings have influenced artists

Social constructs and settings which people are subjected to or interact with do affect how they
think, feel, perceive and interact with various form of art (Foster, & Blau. 2009). This may either
motivate or discourage/inhibit their artistic aspirations. Aspects for instance, gender stereotyping,
religious beliefs, family background in relation to arts, level of education or expose among other
social factors can either be a motivation or demotivational factor to one's artistic life. In regards
to politics, political structures, operations, state and framework can provide an enabling
environment for artists to work on their interests and aspirations. Political upheavals and
stringent legal frameworks may hinder artists' aspirations and performance. However, legalities
that takes the interests of artists at heart, advocate and uphold their welfares and address their
concerns would promote artists' works.
