NARRATIVE REPORT
S.Y. 2019-2020

Pursuant to Executive Order 273, entitled Approving and Adopting the Philippines Plan for Gender
Responsive Development, 1995-2025 that directs all government agencies to institutionalize Gender and
Development (GAD) activities, and Republic Act No. 9710, otherwise known as the Magna Carta of women
,that mandates gender-responsiveness in all agencies’ program, activities , projects and policies , the Torres
National High School Conducted Three- Day Cluster Gender and Development
Training and Learning Exchange Program

This school year, we conducted GAD Seminar Training last May 7,8 and 9. It was a joint seminar by
three respected school, the Baloling National High School ( BNHS ), Primicias National High School
( PNHS ) and Torres National High School (TNHS) . On the first day ( May 7 ) of the said event ,it was attended
by fifty participants ( faculty and school heads ). Twenty-one ( 21) from TNHS, eighteen ( 18 ) from BNHS
and eleven (11) from BNHS. There was a short opening program after the registration of all participants
followed by inspirational message of our PSDS Ma’am Neila U. Ferrer and the presentation of participants
from different schools. then, the lecture started. The first speaker was Engr. Geronima Rañosa, Principal I of
Primicias National High School.,Ma’am Ranosa discussed about the mission, vision and objectives of GAD.
After the lecture we took our short break followed by Sir Judy Franco, Senior High teacher for his energizer
and everybody was happy and energized. We started our afternoon session with energizer led by Ma’am
Rosel C. De Guzman, Meryl Janne Laragan, Josie Belmonte teachers from Torres National High School. After
that, our very own Madam Divina N. Aquino discussed about the “ Core GAD Messages” and “ ANG BUHAY
MAG-ASAWA”. I can say that the lecture was inspiring because we relate so much. Teachers shared their
experiences and ideas regarding topic.

On the second day of the seminar, it was attended again by the same participants. We started the
seminar of short recap came from Ma’am Teresita R. Cabico , energizer from Ma’am Percy A. Pascua, Ma’am
Marites V. Aquiro and Sir Rhandel O. Zamora, teachers from Primicias National High school followed by The
first topic , which was discussed by Gilbert R. Gabiola School Head of Baloling National High School. In the
afternoon Sir Clarito C. Flores discussed “Global and ASEAN Gender in Human Resource Empowerment “and
“ANG MAPAGMAHAL NA LINGKOD BAYAN TUNGO SA MAGANDANG BUHAY” On the third day , we started
our program of short recap and energizer. Our last lecturer was no other than our beloved PSDS Ma’am
Neila U. Ferrer, she discussed about the Gender-Based Instruction Towards 21st Century Classroom
Management and ”ANG MAKABAGONG PAGTUTURO NA MAY PUSO” and of course we inspired a lot. After
the discussion we held a Learning Exchange Program at Greenfields Resort in Malasiqui, and it was so fun
.We had team building that everybody enjoyed .We went with big smile on our face and I can say that , the
three- day GAD seminar was successful indeed.
