prone to frauds and an example of which is

C. ACTIVITY
“I will let you see some posters and I want you
to study in order to identify the three forms of - (Students will raise their hands and share ideas)
quackery. “

“Any idea what are the three forms of - Medical Quackery, Nutrition Quackery, and
quackery? Device Quackery.
Okay! I have three words here in a meta strips to
give you. These are the three forms of quackery.
Can you read each one for me? “
- (Students will raise their hands to volunteer)
“Good Job! Now I need a volunteer to post one
strip below the poster where it belongs, anyone who
would like to try?”

Quackery is a form of fraud, is any advertisement,


promotions, or sale of products and services that
have not been scientifically proven safe and
effective and is being operated by a Quack. -(The students will read the definition of quack)

“Do you know what is a Quack?”

A Quack is an individual that has little or no


professional qualifications to practice medicine.
He/She also pretentiously uses meaningless medical
jargon and relies on scare tactics, paranoid
accusations, and quick fixers

“Again, quackery has three forms. Let’s - (The students will read the definition of each form
define each of them. Anyone who can read the of quackery)
definitions for me”

 Medical Quackery- includes cures,


treatments, and remedies of various health
conditions that are drugless or bloodless in
nature.
 Nutrition Quackery- involves promotion of
food ads and other nutrition practices that
claim to be all-natural. These are believed to
have beneficial properties of multiple plants
- (The students will share their ideas)
in one product.
 Device Quackery- makes use of miraculous
gadgets that are believed to cure certain
conditions.
