NAME: GLYDEL DELA TORRE SECTION: BEED 3A

SUBJECT: ASTRONOMY DATE ATTENDED: FEB 27, 2020

EVENT: NATIONAL ASTRONOMY WEEK

One of the most satisfying adventures of my life so far is the time that I
experienced to watch the show in planetarium with my classmates the title of the
show is Hayabusa back to the earth. I enjoyed this show because Hayabusa back
to the earth is about a Japanese space probe, was launched aboard the M-V
launch vehicle to collect samples from the near earth asteroids Itokawa.
Hayabusa attempted to land on Itokawa after traveling about 2 billion
kilometers. However, its landing was no easy task. The probe body was suspected
of having deep mechanical troubles, but there is no going back. Re-positioning
once again, Hayabusa dives in for a second landing attempt. It looked as though
it was successful but turned into the worst crisis. On 12 November Hayabusa
closed into 55 m from asteroid's surface but due to an error failed to reach the
surface. On November 2005 Hayabusa landed on the asteroid and collect samples
in the form of tiny grains of asteroid material. Hayabusa returned to earth on 13
June 2010. The show in a planetarium has a story to be told and the way it was
told was very easy to understand especially the kids that have a tour in that day.
The show ended. My classmates decide to go to the gallery of the planetarium and
taking some pictures with the sample planets hanging in the gallery, so the
second destination of all Beed 3rd year is the telescoping in the Pag-asa
astronomical observatory in U.P. when we arrived we need to register in Pag-asa
and wait until 7 pm because it is the start of telescoping. After waiting for so long
telescoping is about to start, and we form a line. When my turn in the telescope I
saw a half of planet Venus and I asked an operator, observer , why Venus is just a
half? He said, it is because of the positioning of the earth and the sun. Second
telescope I saw a star called Sirius it was a normal glittering star that we saw in
the sky. That's my adventure's all about and I enjoyed everything.
