Chapter 1

Introduction

The education curriculum continuously makes a progressive turn as it introduces K to 12


Curriculum is the vital role of TLE. Technology and livelihood education (TLE) are one of the learning
areas of the secondary education curriculum used in Philippine secondary school. As a subject in high
school, Component areas are home economics, Agri - fishery arts, industrial arts, and information and
communication technology. Considering the natural of TLE, it provides vocational expertise and
develops critical thinking among the students. It develops student skills that will help them at present
and in the near future. TLE is a subject about home economics, family values, anything about basic living
and your lifestyle at home. Technology and livelihood education subject can give students a source of
money to earn a decent living.

Background of the Study


TLE or technology and livelihood education is a subject allows students to gain
knowledge and develop their skills about cooking, sewing, good attitudes and right conduct,
and many important things that will help students to use it and develop their selves to be a
good citizens with right knowledge about the daily living and needs. It develops the capacity of
students for self-employment and suggest pathway for further education and training in chosen
careers.
Statement of the Purpose,
This study is an attempt to determine the difficulties of students.
The study attempts to answer the following;
1.What are the problems of the students having a difficulty in TLE?
2. What are the possible solution that could be recommended in this research study?

Significance of study

Students, this study may serve as a guide and reference undertaking similar studies.

Scope and Delimitation


This study aimed to analyze the student’s difficulties in technology and livelihood education.

Significance of teacher

Teacher, The Teacher can also gain significance in this study. For them to understand the
difficulties.
Future researchers

Future researchers, to those who wants to learn about the difficulties of students encountering
in TLE subject. This research will give information to the future researchers.

Chapter 2

One crucial variable that directly impacts the quality of learning acquisition among learners is the
adequacy or lack of school facilities that aid in the reinforcement of knowledge and skills. Technology
and livelihood education in the global community is a subject that helps students to be trained its
daily aspects of life and learn daily works of our daily living. It just not helps student but people who
need the knowledge of it.

Conceptual framework

This research purpose is to find out the difficulties and effect on students encountering TLE. Since the
researchers did not know yet why the students have a failed score, the research started by gathering
data from TLE Teacher and using it to initiate the research.

Hypothesis

The researchers attempted to determine the difficulties of student encountering TLE.

Chapter 3

Research Design

The study is a quantitative research where in numerical data is required by the proponents. The
research study focused on the teacher’s given results of all boys third periodical test.

Research Locale

This research is conducted exclusively in Barangay Cawit, Municipality of Boac, Province of Marinduque.

Respondents

The respondents of this study are the student that have difficulties in studying TLE subject.

Data Gathering Procedure

We started the conduct of the study by asking a TLE teacher to give us a data from the results of the
third periodical test.
Research Instrument

The research study used a data acquiring the results of the third periodical test.

Ethical Consideration

This research involves data that is used to this research. The data that is being given by a person are
sealed to give the personal privacy.

Materials

The researchers used the material/s listed below to produce some information.

A) Data that was used to get the Q3 of the score of the third periodical test

This research used data of the third periodical test that determined the Q3

Chapter 5

Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation

This chapter presents the summary of the results and finding the result of the conducted research. This
also includes the conclusion and recommendation based from the result that researchers gathered.

Summary

Producing information about difficulties of students encountering TLE by just using available materials
like data. In response, the objective of this study focused on the problems of students in TLE. This study
was conducted to determine the problems that the students, teacher and other researchers can use
based from the results.

Conclusion

Based from the summary of findings, many students are having difficulties when it comes to TLE,
What do you think why many students are having difficulties?

“Listening is an art that requires attention over talent, spirit over ego, others over self.” You just have
to listen to avoid having difficulties Well it’s your choice if you listen or not, you probably not going to
like the consequences.

Recommendation

Based from the result gathered by the researchers from the data, the following recommendations
were stated in order to help students, Teachers and Future Researchers who might conduct the same
research:

1. Students most have a knowledge about why others have a difficulty in TLE.
2. Future Researchers may used the study to help them having a knowledge about TLE.
