A. Complete the following sentences using BE GOING TO

C. Write about the things you plan to do. Use be going to for intentions or the
present continuous as future for more definite plans. Use future time
expressions.

I’m going to study tonight for my upcoming English test. Hopefully this time next year, I
will be graduating in Dominican Republic. Tomorrow I’m going to do the laundry and try
to clean my closet. In the evening I’m going to take my daughter to dance classes. On
Sunday I’m going to eat out in one of my favorite restaurant.

I will be traveling to Dominican Republic next summer and I’m going to visit my family in
Puerto Plata.

 D. Explain the differences between the future with BE GOING TO and WILL.

Will

Express future actions decided at the moment of speaking, immediate decisions.

We can use it to talk about far future or promises.

Be going to

Express near future plans decided before the moment of speaking, prior plans and we
have the evidence that is going to happen.
