Lesson Plan in English

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:


 Define what Prepositions is.
 Identify the different types of Prepositions.
 Construct sentences using the different types of Prepositions.
 Express the significance of Prepositions in our daily communication.

II. Subject Matter

 Topic: Prepositions
 Materials: Coupon Bond, Felt-tip Pen, Printer

III. Procedure

1. Preliminaries

 Prayer
 Greetings
 Class Orderliness
 Checking of Attendance
 Setting of Classroom Standards

2. Review

 Ask the students the following questions:


 What is Argumentative Essay?
 What are the three types of Argumentative Essay?

3. Motivation
 Perform the “Draw What I Say” game.
 Divide the class into two. Each group will select two representatives. Student A will be
given a picture and without showing the picture to Student B, Student A will dictate
everything that is in the picture. Student B will then draw on the board following the
directions given by Student A. The first group to finish the drawing wins.
 Once done, the teacher will draw out the importance of giving clear instructions by using
words that define the relationship of each shape.

 Lesson Presentation: Prepositions

o Activity Proper:
 The teacher will group the class into two. Each group must select a leader and a
reporter.

 Direction: Complete the sentences by filling out the blanks with the missing
word then complete the two rules below the sentences. Once done, do the
songbird clap and present your output to the class.
