Insurance and Risk Management

Respected Sir/Madam,

I would like to have this opportunity to introduce myself as an Insurance Professional

whose life is all about claims, reports, risk management, reinsurance, etc. As soon as I
completed my Bachelor of Business Administration (Dec’12) from Jamia Hamdard I
started working with Insurance and financial services company - ​Sun Life Financial​,
Inc. based out in Guguram, Haryana, India.

During this period, I worked with few divisions and explored lots of option in Insurance
domain. I also started advising young graduates to learn and make a fulfilling career in
Insurance. While working, I also started my master’s program (part time classes) in
business administration and secured ​first division​ (June‘15). The changing face of
insurance requires that you grow your knowledge from insurance fundamentals to
increased complexity, to lines of business, to increasing specialization and complex
risks.
Why Insurance and Risk Management at Fanshawe College?

As I considered my alternatives for graduate studies, the ​Graduate Certificate

Program ​at Fanshawe College has emerged for various reasons. The interdisciplinary
way of the program is particularly appealing to me, as this will give me a much more
extensive, more down to earth comprehension of all major concepts of risk
management.

This program is a perfect choice for me as I want to become a ​Chartered Insurance

Professional​. It will allow me to earn credits towards the Chartered Insurance
Professional (CIP) designation. The program has ​seven​ of the ten required courses
toward the ​Chartered Insurance Professional designation (CIP)​. Also recognized by
the property and casualty insurance industry and the insurance-buying public across
Canada and elsewhere around the world, the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)
designation is the benchmark of insurance professionalism for individuals looking to
build a career in insurance. It has an ​International recognition​; ​In fact, the designation
count towards accreditation programs with other international institutes, including ​The
Institutes​ (The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters/ The
Insurance Institute of America - U.S.), ​The Chartered Insurance Institute​ (U.K.) and ​The
Insurance Institute of Ireland​.

I am confident of adding to the paradigm diversity of the Insurance management world

by joining Fanshawe. Fanshawe College located in London, Ontario is a professional
institution that brings out constant student-teacher interaction. In the short term, I wish
to work as an insurance adjuster and analyze the role played by the property and
casualty insurance industry in the global economy. In the long term, I would like to work
in the field of strategy, leadership, insurance management, enterprise risk management,
and global issues.

My profile is having all the pre-requisites, ​relevant experience​ required for the
admission and I have secured my admission there. I have scored overall ​7.5 bands​ in
my ​IELTS​ test.
Why Studying in ​Canada​?

Canada was the first and final choice for me when I was in a phase to choose a country
because of some eminent reasons. The education system of Canada is brilliant in all
sorts of ways and ranked as the best among the whole world. In addition to that,
Canada is a safe and peaceful nation with superb health care facilities.

Only a few academic institutes around the world provides an option to ​study advanced
insurance program​ and qualify to become a professional insurance expert. Canadian
qualification will surely be a strong base for boosting my career in the Insurance
industry as Chartered Insurance Professional.

Every year, talented students from all over the globe do come Canada to study so that
they can make their dream come true. Studying with them will surely expose me to their
cultures and ethics, as well as improvise my communication skills. My family is fully
supportive of my decision to study abroad and will support me financially during my stay
in Canada.

Future Goals

After completion of my program in Canada, I intend to come back to my home country

with the outstanding skill as a ​CIP designated​ executive and join the Insurance
industry, which continues to thrive across the world.

In the past decade, the world has shown tremendous growth in Insurance, risk and
compliance sector and there is and will be a huge demand for Insurance professionals
in the near future. So, I would like to come back as a high skilled Chartered Insurance
Professional and join some reputed multinational corporation to make a bright career.
At the end, my only goal is to be a successful and dynamic professional in the near
future which can make me stand out amongst all. Also, I have paid 16,137.42 CAD full
tuition fees.
