I have been dreaming of becoming a successful international entrepreneur since the day my

interest in business started growing. In order to materialise this dream, I wish to acquire an
extensive knowledge of global business strategies, to understand the climate of international
market, to chart fascinating and feasible business plans, and to gain effective communication
skills and use charming presentation skills, promote business at the global level and woo
international business partners. I strongly believe that a postgraduate diploma in International
Business Management from Centennial College, Toronto, Canada, will sure prepare me to
realize this long-cherished dream, and that my country, a developing country, will sure
provide me with a right springboard to launch my international business enterprise.

To present here a few details about my educational background, I received my school

education from one of the schools reputed for inspiring students to become critically creative
and creatively critical. It has always encouraged a collaborative and project-based learning
and helped me understand how important a team work was and also how a learner should
focus more on the practice and application of ideas rather than on a passive acquisition of
them. This skill-focused school education prepared me for another similar kind of education
at the tertiary level at Kumaraguru College of Technology and led me to a successful
completion of my Bachelors in _________________________.

As I received my education till the end of the tertiary level only through English, a second
language, as the medium of instruction, my interests in English education grew beyond the
needs of using it only in academic contexts. My father, an agricultural engineer, who
graduated from the institution where only the best minds could have access to, created
opportunities beyond classroom contexts such as interacting with his erudite friends, and
helped me improve my English language skills. I would proudly say that it was this practical
use of the English language and the kind of English education I received from my school and
college, which helped me use English very communicatively. I have secured an overall 6.5
band score in the IELTS.

To put my education into application and practice, I started my career as a Business Analyst
in a business firm, “Vasantham Finance and Investment” at the industry-rich Coimbatore
called “the Manchester of Tamilnadu.” This job involved, on my part, a critical evaluation
and a fair presentation of loss and profit of the business and an impeccable scrutiny of the
causes of loss and of the positive decisions which lead to profits in the business. This serious
responsibility naturally made me analyse all kinds of risks which can be expected before the
start of any new business venture. Thus this job was almost a kind of rigorous training in
understanding the volatile nature of business and the precautions one should be always ready
with in order to encounter, handle and overcome any kind of business jolts and shocks.
Despite an attainment of a reasonable knowledge of business here, I sensed a few gaps in my
knowledge and I felt the need for receiving exceptional skills of international business
management if I had to venture into the international arena with an international business
plan or entrepreneurship. Hence, I chose to study a postgraduate diploma in International
Business Management.
My natural choice of an international institution offering a postgraduate diploma in
International Business Management to realize my objective is Centennial College, Toronto,
Canada, for one important reason that its faculty have vast experience in international
business, which will put a learner into right perspectives of global business. I understand that
this institution offers the learners a load of opportunities to use the latest information
technology and prepare them to perform various international business functions. Moreover,
the strength of the institution rests mainly on its use of case studies and project-based
learning and on its provision and promotion of practical industry experience. Undoubtedly, I
will gain “a solid foundation in international business practice in a short period of time” as
promised by the institution, and I shall sure become confident in starting my international
business in my country, skilled at handling my international business ventures and very
positive about reaching my desired goal of becoming a successful international businessman.

In addition to all academic advantages in choosing Centennial College, Toronto, there are a
lot of other kinds of advantages such as international experience, colourful business
environment and multi-cultural and multi-linguistic settings. The striking fact that Toronto is
Canada’s financial and business capital which is also rated as one of the four global cities
with economic clout is very encouraging. Of all, I find very inspirational the fact that Toronto
has a highly skilled, multilingual force of 1.4 million people engaged in 89800 kinds of
business. Where else should one look for a course in International Business Management than
in Toronto which creates an ideal radiant business environment?

One of my real strengths in chasing my dreams is my parents. My father, (as I already

mentioned), an agricultural engineer engaged in various fields of agricultural research and
certification, retired from his prestigious gazetted position of the Government of Tamilnadu
and started his own agro-based business. My mother is an agriculturalist also supporting my
father in his business. My father is bent on helping me materialize my dreams and ready and
happy to spend for my education at Toronto, Canada, all his terminal benefits accrued on him
at the time of his retirement, the constant regular rich flow of his monthly pension from the
Government of Tamilnadu, and the profits of his successful agro business.

With these advantages on my side, I have no hesitation in chasing my dreams with the
confidence of a supreme kind. I am sure that I shall receive exceptional skills and knowledge
of international business management at Centennial College, Toronto, Canada, and use them
in the international business I am going to start in my country, to strive, seek and find a newer
world of business and prove my mettle with an unflinching hard work and make my parents
and my country feel proud of me.
