 PREFACE

The instructions comprising this publication have been formulated

by the Rolls-Royce Engine Handling Panel, in consultation with the
aircraft constructor.

They include the mandatory Operating Limitations approved by the

Civil Aviation Authority and contained in the Approved Flight
Manual of that authority. They also include recommendations for
operating the engine for all scheduled flying. Amendments to the
Operating Limitations must be approved by Rolls-Royce, in
agreement with the Civil Aviation Authority, otherwise the engine
approval will be invalidated.

If the Operator should fail to observe the recommendations given

in this publication or, where no recommendations are given, the
limitations, engine reliability may be adversely affected,
possibly resulting in engine failure, and operating costs may be
increased.

Operators who have the benefit of a Rolls-Royce Engine Warranty

should note that Rolls-Royce's obligations under its warranties
are conditional upon operators observing such recommendations or
limitations.

Operators should bring to the attention of Rolls-Royce any

uncertainties in the interpretation of the Rolls-Royce Operating
Instructions and any discrepancies between these Operating
Instructions and those of the aircraft manufacturer.

Thls manual contains the certlfled englne lnformatlon called for In British Clvll
Airworthiness Requirements, Chapter A6-7, paragraph 4. The technical accuracy
of thls manual has been verified and Is certlfled as correct.

AirworthinessAuthority (CM) to the German Alrworthlness Authority - Luftfahrt -
Bundesamt (LBA) on the 7th January 2002. This manual now cornes under the
responslblllty of Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd 8 COKG.
