'सुधा चंद्रन' का जन्म भारत के केरल राज्य में 21 सितंबर 1964 को हुआ था। उनका

जन्म मुंबई स्थित एक मध्यमवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ था। वहीँ से उन्होंने अपनी उच्च
शिक्षा ग्रहण की। मात्र तीन वर्ष की आयु में सुधा चंद्रन ने भारतीय शास्त्रीय नत्ृ य सीखना
प्रारम्भ कर दिया। शीघ्र ही वह 'भरत नाट्यम', एक शास्त्रीय नत्ृ य, के सबसे होनहार
विद्यार्थियों में से एक बन गयीं।

सध
ु ा चंद्रन उस समय मात्र 16 वर्ष की थीं जब उनके माता-पिता छुट्टियों में दक्षिण यात्रा
की सैर पर गए। उनकी वापसी की यात्रा के समय उनकी बस एक ट्रक से टकरा गई। यह
एक भयानक दर्घ
ु टना थी और इस दर्घ
ु टना में सुधा के पैर की हड्डी टूट गई। दर्भा
ु ग्यवश,
खंडित पैर संक्रमित हो गया और अंत में उसे काटनापड़ा। उनके कृत्रिम पैर लगाया गया।

सुधा ने अपना नत्ृ य का सबक जारी रखा। कृत्रिम पैर के साथ यह कार्य बिलकुल भी
आसान नहीं था। उनकी मज़बूत इच्छाशक्ति और कठिन परिश्रम का असर हुआ। अति
शीघ्र ही उन्होंने दर्शकों से सामने फिर से नत्ृ य करना प्रारम्भ कर दिया। जल्दी ही, वह
बहुत लोकप्रिय हो गईं। उनकी जीवन कथा से प्रेरित होकर, 1982 में , 'मयरू ी' नामक एक
तेलग
ु ु फिल्म निर्मित हुई। सध
ु ा ने इस फिल्म में स्वयं अभिनय किया। तत्पश्चात, वर्ष
1986 में , इस फिल्म का 'नाचे मयूरी' के नाम से हिंदी में पुनःनिर्माण किया गया। इसके
पश्चात भी सुधा ने अनेक फिल्मों में अभिनय किया। उनके द्वारा अभिनीत टी.वी.
धारावाहिक का प्रसारण अनेक दे शों में किया जा चक
ु ा है ।

सुधा चंद्रन का नाम एक अभिनेत्री अथवा नर्तकी की तुलना में बहुत ऊपर है - वह एक
जीवित किंवदं ती हैं।

Violence against women in India refer to physical or sexual violence committed against Indian
women, typically by a man. Common forms of violence against women in India include acts
such as domestic abuse, sexual assault, and murder. In order to be considered violence against
women, the act must be committed solely because the victim is female. Most typically, these \
Dr Priyanka Reddy, a veterinary doctor from Shamshabad in Hyderabad was found
dead with her body partially burnt under Chatanpalli bridge in Shadnagar on
Thursday morning. She had worked as a doctor in Kolluru village. The incident
happened on Wednesday night. She was raped, smothered and then burnt by four
men who are said to be hailing from Narayanpet.

Four people were detained by the Cyberabad police on Friday. They were identified
as Mohammad Areef (driver), Jollu Naveen (cleaner), Chennakeshavulu (cleaner),
Jollu Shiva (driver). The police said that the accused who were consuming alcohol at
Shamshabad toll plaza saw Priyanka parking her scooter and hatched the plan to
rape her. And one of them (Jollu Naveen) punctured the rear wheel of the doctor's
scooter which was parked at a place.

The Kathua rape case refers to the abduction, rape, and murder of an 8-year-old girl, Asifa
Bano, in Rasana village near Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir, India, in January 2018.
A chargesheet for the case was filed, the accused were arrested and the trial began in Kathua
on 16 April 2018.[6][7] The victim belonged to the nomad Bakarwal community. She disappeared
for a week before her body was discovered by the villagers a kilometer away from the village.[8][9]

 The incident made national news when charges were filed against eight men in April 2018.
The arrests of the accused led to protests by the Panthers Party, along with other local groups.

 One of the protests, in support of the accused, was attended by two ministers from
the Bharatiya Janata Party, both of whom later resigned. The rape and murder, as well as the
support the accused received, sparked widespread outrage.[16][17][8] On 10 June 2019, six of the
seven defendants were convicted and one acquitted.[18] Three of those convicted were
sentenced to life in prison and three to five years.[19] In October 2019, court ordered FIR against
6 members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which probed the case, for allegedly
torturing and coercing witnesses to give false statements.[20]
