LEVEL 2 FIRST EXAM (ORAL SECTION)

WORLD ENGLISH 1, UNITS 1 TO 6

ASSIGMNENT DUE FOR: SUNDAY APRIL 5TH AT MIDNIGHT
PART 1. DIRECTIONS:

 Follow the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snxVQdfiTDM and watch the video on Bad Presentation vs.
Good Presentation – Youtube (3:13). Notice the differences between a good and a bad presentation.
 Based on the good presentation characteristics, prepare the oral presentation of parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Written
Section of the First Exam, which you have already completed.
 Important Reminders:
 As in the good presentation video, you will make a video of yourself presenting Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the written
section of the exam. For Parts 1 and 2 use the photo/picture required for the exercise. The pictures won’t have
any words or sentences written in it. Also, as you orally describe your pictures, you WON’T READ your
description from a paper or card. You will place the picture in your computer or laptop, and you will look at the
picture with no text if necessary, but you won’t read full sentences from a paper or card. You can use a card with
cue words, but if you directly read sentences from the card, you will be heavily penalized. So no actual reading
from a paper/card will take place. For part 3 of the written section, you will explain the best you can the BEFORE
and DURING quarantine exercise. AGAIN, no reading directly form a paper is allowed.
 The video that you make of yourself giving your presentation will have similar characteristics to the one
presented in Youtube, in content and quality. Follow the advice given in the Youtube video and send a good
quality video. Please, don’t send me a video in which I can only see your face. I won’t accept it.
 First Exam: Written Section: 50%; Oral Section: 50% . TOTAL OF 100%
 Try to make a short recording of your work. Send yourselves the video before you send it to the teacher, so you
know there are no problems in opening it. If I, the teacher, can´t open it, I won’t be able to evaluate it. Please, be
aware of these technical aspects. Remember is your exam that you are sending me.
 Please consider carefully all the above recommendations. If you have any questions, let me know by email.
Remember YOU HAVE UNTIL SUNDAY APRIL 5TH AT MIDNIGHT TO SEND THE WRITTEN AND ORAL PARTS OF
THE FIRST EXAM. My email: maria.chinchilla@unimilitar.edu.co
