JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Housekeeping Leader


Job Grade : Level
Department : Housekeeping
Direct Report : Operational Manager/Villa Manager

Job Scope :
Responsible for maintain guest villa, public area including guest rest room and working areas. and
the villa premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. Also coordinating daily housekeeping
operations and maintaining the housekeeping operating standards. Also responsible for supervising
the villa attendants to deliver an excellent Guest satisfaction and experience. On time to time basis
may also be required to assist Butler in various activities.

General Responsibilities:
 Check all villas pre-arrival
 Develop good teamwork among all the staff and with other departments and maintain good
customer relationship.
 Complies with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy

 Complete Skills and Knowledge requirements and desirable qualifications


 Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.
 Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis
 Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems
 Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over
 Distribution and collection of keys
 Solve employee grievances
 Perform Room allocations
 Perform Room inspections
 Prioritize arrival rooms
 Liaise with Butler for guest and hotel requirements
 Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner
 Co-ordinate special projects (eg site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room
inventories)
 Manage all special requests made by guests
 Ensure consistency within the department
 Management of lost property for the villa
 Ensure you have complete knowledge of room types, layouts and facilities

 Manage storage areas
 Maintain adequate stock levels
 Complete stock takes as required
 Maintain stock levels
 Conducts shift briefings to ensure villa activities and operational requirements are known
 Recycles where-ever possible and enforces cost saving measures

Key Result Areas:

 Check the daily VIP guest, and guest preference and brief to all staff regarding that matter.
 To make sure that all amenities and equipment made available to the outlet correctly
used and participates in inventory taking.
 Develop good teamwork among all the staff and with other departments and maintain
good customer relationship.
 Maintain effective communication among the team
 Supervise the staff constantly regarding standard of service.
 To ensure all staff are implementing up-selling technique.
 Regularly check par stock and prepare requisition for store and general items.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

 Have good housekeeping and food beverage product knowledge and skill knowledge

Desirable Qualifications:

 Strong motivation and leadership and willing to learn


 Have 2 years experiences as villa leader/coordinator.
 Good command in English oral and writing and computer literate
 High sense of personalized customer service oriented/service passion.
