School,Ratanpu,Phagi
INTRODUCTION:
A field visit is a journey by group of people to a place away from their normal
classroom environment so as to experience and learn the different challenges other
face at that place which would help to compete with the challenges in future.

The field visit was organized by the FMS-IIRM Institution on 27th July 2019

Our one day Journey began from Institution at 9:40 A.M with good vibes and with
full of enthusiasm we reached Phagi Campus by 11:35 A.M. by SMCET yellow
colored bus. There were 59 students and 2 faculty members who accompanied us
there named Dr. R C Mathur And Dr. Rustom Bora.

As soon as we reached and entered the Phagi Campus we saw the great white
statue of Dr Thomas Cangan the founder of SIIRM. And from the faculty member
we got to know that Cangan sir had given his services at RBI and NABARD from
where he got the thought of working for Rural development and this how he
founded the Institution named FMS-IIRM.

As we moved ahead we discovered a temple of Lord Ganesha which shows

equality and respect for every religion. Just behind the temple there was huge pond
full of water and ducks swimming. We captured the beauty of the place after that
we were taken to canteen where refreshments were served.

By 12:01P.M we continued our journey and covered the entire campus of Phagi
and there we planted 20 Trees in nearby surroundings of the government school.

By 1:10 P.M we reached our second destination i.e Ratnapur Government School
and spent some good times with the children’s out there and they also sang the
song of Lords Krishna and briefed about Mewar History.

After that we got the opportunity to see the School's Rain Water Harvesting
System.
From the above picture we get the broader perspective of its performance at the
time of rains. It shows how the rain water collects at the top of the school building
which is flowed from there to the base tank through the 2 pipes attached to the top.
And the water is preserved in the tank and whenever needed a hand pump is fitted
through which water is taken from the tank. It is simple and very effective method.
And we also got to know that now a day in Jaipur newly constructing house are
focused on Rain Water Harvesting.

After walking so much we were feeling hungry and at that moment our faculty told
us that delicious lunch is waiting for us. It was like can't express in words feeling
and we ran towards bus and left for the Phagi Campus by 1:40 P.M. We reached
there and entered canteen where whole arrangements for lunch were done. Plates
were arranged and food was served into plates. The menu was Roti, sev sabji
,Pulav, salad,Dal. And The Cherry on the Cake was, Gulab Jamun, what else is
required then.

Finally our journey came to end by 2:00 P.M. We get back to our bus and reached
our Institution back. The whole experience was very beautiful and was it gave us
exposure and learning’s to different environments and culture.

And we are looking forward fo more such fruitful visits.
