The advancements in technology have made a strong impact on almost all areas of our

society. It is making a serious difference in the way kids and parents perceive the world and

each other. Technology brings lots of benefits to people unfortunately it also brings negative

effect impact to a family. In this study, we would be discussing about how technology

impacts on family time. This study utilized descriptive method with qualitative research and

perform actual gathering of information through survey questionnaire to the 100 grade 12

students of Daraga National High School. The researchers found out that the top 5

technologies used by families are smartphones, television, headphones, wireless speakers and

laptop that has implications on family time. Technologies can cause poor face-to-face

interaction with the family members.

Dear Sir,
The students of Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Block 4 need necessary data
as part of their ongoing research in Practical Research entitled “The Effect of Technology on Family
Time: Positive or Negative?”.
In connection with this, may we ask your permission to allow us to disseminate our
questionnaires in selected Grade 12 students from every block of Daraga National High School.
Rest assured that the information will be use for academic purposes only.
We are hoping for your positive response. Thank you and God bless.
