 This is a picture of the day that the 5th graders come to read with the class that I was put
in and I asked the 5th grade teacher why she thinks this is important. She told me that
one of the main things that is lacking in early childhood education that she sees is
reading and Ela and then went on to explain that when the 1st graders see that the 5th
graders are into reading then that gives them the encouragement to read more which
leads to better reading levels in the later grades.
