A SURVEY OF THE COURSE

One of the things that I feel fortunate is that I have been able
to apply “Reading and writing 2” of Mr. Luu Hoang An - The most
enthusiastic teacher I have ever studied. The course lasts more than 3
months and will be finished at the end of May. Through that course, I
learned a lot of beneficial lessons. However, I will only mention 3 most
important ones. How to write a correct paragraph is the first lesson that I
learned. In this course, Mr. An taught us in detail. The teacher explained
the theory very carefully, then let us practice writing paragraphs. The
special thing here is that all of our homework is corrected by the teacher
in our class. Thanks to that, through this course, our level of writing
paragraph will be significantly improved. Moreover, the teacher also
provided us with a table with words and phrases that should not be used
in the writing process. The second one is how to do reading exercise
effectively. And I see that vocabularies in this course are advanced more
than in “Reading and Writing 1”. When reading, we shouldn’t read all of
the information first, we should focus on paragraph where the questions
mention. And an important thing that we should pay attention to when
doing that is to pay attention to the synonyms, the words that come
before and after the blanks to be filled in. And the last important thing
that I learned is to always have a sense of self-discipline and self-study. I
mention this lesson because in this course, we have homework, but it’s

not compulsory. And I see that, many students who didn’t do any
assignments. This not only makes you don’t make any progress in your
studying, but also makes the teacher feel very depressed. Every course,
everything that happens in life always gives us useful lessons. And the
above are the 3 most important things that I learned from “Reading and
writing 2. Those are worthwhile lessons that I will remember forever.

 The most worthwhile thing I ever lost was my phone. Even
though it happened five years ago, I still reminisce that night. It was my
first phone - Which my parents gave me for my 13th birthday. There is
denying that my smart phone is convenient. The phone was black and
branded apple. In addition, it was quite small and had a thickness of 5-7
mm. Once day, I had gone to a library in my hometown to get some
stationary for my upcoming exams. When I went into it and chose my
books, I had my phone in my pocket. I was absorbed by a world of
books, I did not pay more attention to my personal belongings. Then, a
middle-aged woman also came near me and simultaneously asked for
some information. Then, she deliberately took my phone. Next, she left
in five minutes. I didn’t know what happened at that time, I bought
whatever I needed and paid the shopkeeper his due amount. Until I came
my home, I found my phone to call my mom, I didn’t see it. At that
moment, I acknowledged I lost my phone. I was initially shocked and
confused when realizing that the phone has gone forever. I cried for all
day. It not only helped me in my studies, but it was also a gift from my
parents which my parents tried hard to save money to buy it for me.
Everything seemed to be tricky for me since I lost it. Consequently, I
didn’t have anything to entertain, facilitate my study and keep in touch
with my family until I got the scholarship to buy the new one. After all,
this experience has made me more careful of my belongings and now I
try to keep my phone as securely as possible.

Why there are more and more students single nowadays?

These days, many students choose sole life because of the

following reasons. Firstly, at this age, students should focus on the
central task of studying and training to improve themselves. Because

having love at this age can negatively affect their education if they don't
know how to control their emotions and balance everything. We can
spend our free time, take interest in good things for personal
development such as reading books, listening to podcasts, etc. Moreover,
when we become better, we can meet good people as we expected.
Secondly, students who want to enjoy free life. To be more detail, they
focus on their career, respect their personal life without sacrificing for
love. Getting into a relationship makes them afraid of losing all of that,
especially their independence. They don't want their lives to be
controlled by another or neglect their self-worth. Choosing to be single
gives them more opportunities to learn, get to know, and participate in
new adventures. Finally, the lack of confidence. Whenever we want to
spend time alone, we begin to think that we are not good enough for a
partner. In addition, we become more self-deprecating. Mainly because
they find difficulty in sharing with others. Low self-esteem causes many
people to stay away from relationships and feel happier when being
single. They will not have to worry about other people embarrassing
them. To sum up, because of the above reasons, choosing to be single at
school age is understandable, reasonable and appropriate choice.
