- Students are asked to complete a guided book report on the following 

book they are reading in class, “​The Day You Begin​”. Each child will be 
provided a guided book report packet with instructions.

About Me Assignment : ​Due September 15 (9/17)  

- Your child is to create a poster of all the important things in their life. 
The poster paper will be provided and sent home with your child. Their 
name should be the focal point of the poster with all their interest, family 
background and activities they life should surround their name.  
 

Content for the Week 

We are working on getting to know all the friends in our classroom! Learning 
about everyone's families and cultures. We will be going over their assignment 
in class and will send it home to be completed with the help from their parents.  

 
In math we will be working on rounding to the nearest 10 or 100 and 
introducing how to estimate adding multi-digit numbers.  

We are going to be reading and discussing the 

book “​The Day You Begin​” in class this week. Students will be provided 
with the book and worksheets that will be worked on during class to 
better understand the book.
