Is University Education Useless

Nowadays some people consider university education as useless .However, in my

point of view , there is great necessity for most of us going to the university for

further study. My reasons are as follows.

First of all, it is commonly known that university education matures our

personality. Different from the life during the high-school period, we are allowed to

leave our parents and study independently. It is the university life that formulates our

future life in advance. Without this procedure , some students may be unprepared for

the life in the mess world and may be deceived by other people. So that those who are

unable to live independently are necessary to receive education in a university .

What’s more , university education brings us professional skills and specific

knowledge that will enable us to be qualified for our future career. As the Internet and

other technology develops faster and faster, more and more emphasis has been laid on

fostering students who majored in those areas. To meet the demand of future job ,

there is no reason for us to reject further study in the university. With the knowledge

learnt in the university, we are guaranteed to not be abandoned by the trend .

Last but not least , the education we received in the university will not only

broaden our horizon ,but also enhance our ability to imagine. As is widely known that

most of the jobs need foresight and imagination. For most of us, we may be learning

all the time during the high school period. The university education is much more

different from the one in the high school. It is much more flexible and abundant.

Therefore, learning in the university will totally change the situation. Only in this way
can a student gain sufficient ability to meet the demand of his future job. The

university education will benefit one in his whole life .

University education should never be seen as useless. Never can a student be fully

prepared for his life without the university education. Though some people consider

university education as unnecessary, I think that people should get fully aware of the

importance of the university education and take studying in university for granted.
