Ray Kroc (1902-1984)
What he owned:

- Used to own Mc Donald’s

- Used to own a baseball team

Considered as in top 100 people of 20th century.Half Czech half German. Born near chicago. Lived in America for his
whole life. After ww2 he was selling milkshake mixers. Then the Mc Donald’s brothers bought 8 mixers. Intrigued he
went to San Bernardino in their restaurant to visit. He thought it was very organized, modern, interesting food… He
decided to make a partnership with the Mc Donald’s brothers. 1955 Kroc opens his first McDonald’s. Inspired fast
foods such as Burger King, Kfc… But Kroc wanted, opposedly to the McDonald’s, to do a big chain of restaurants.
So he bought completely McDonald’s. But the brothers did not want to give him the San Bernardino location. Left Mc
Donalds in 1974 (san diego padres baseball team). Dies in 1984.
