Chapter II: Project Background and History

I. Project Proponent

The proponents of the business are Grade 12 ABM (Accountancy and

Business Management) students of La Salle College Antipolo, Eric John

Garcia, Justine Dave Ungab, Phyrra Janus Balajadia, Marianne Karl Monton

and Shaina Eunice Owebar, who already have a prior knowledge as a

foundation on building and handling a business with their subjects taken

namely Organization and Management, Business Mathematics, Marketing,

Business Ethis, Entrepreneurship, and basic accounting knowledge from

FABM 1 and FABM 2.

II. Proposed Name of the Project

Derived from the first name initials of the proponents (Justine, Eric,

Marianne, Phyrra, Eunice), the “Jempé Café” has made its business name.

Using “Café” rather than directly “Frappuccinos” gives a sense of flexibility

to the business when the entrepreneurs decide to add something to the

menu in the future.

III. Vision

Jempé Café aims

 To satisfy the cravings of the vegan and non-vegan customers through

serving the healthy drinks and promoting healthy lifestyle to a large

market

 To become a popular business offering healthy drinks to larger

number of customers

 To provide better service to customers by building competitive coffee

shops in the future

IV. Mission

Jempé Café promotes a variety of vegan style drinks without

compromising the delicious taste of the frappuccinos and the accessibility of

it to customers especially those who are in a vegan lifestyle.

V. Emblem
The emblem of Jempé Café symbolizes the flexibility of the business

through its circular shape for future innovations and additional drinks aside

from frappuccinos it will be providing. Each of the five stars represents

each of the business proponents and the group’s willingness to strive as

entrepreneurs for the betterment of the business itself for it to provide

wider variety of healthy products to customers. The green colors represent

not only the healthiness of the products but the dark green color also

represents the La Salle College Antipolo where the group and the friendship

among the proponents were built. “JC” as in the middle, symbolizes the

business name itself “Jempé Café”

VI. Type of Business

Jempé Café is a Manufacturing type of business creating drinks made

from organic and healthy ingredients.

VII. Proposed Location

Jempé Café will be based at Antipolo City given that most of the

proponents are living in the area and have easier access to different

suppliers and target markets.

VIII. History of the Project

There are many businesses offering drinks including fruit shakes,

milkteas and frappuccinos but only few customers realize that they are
already consuming too much sugar, and only few businesses are concerned

for the health of their dear customers and offer drinks with true healthy

ingredients. Since coffee plays a big role to the every morning of the

Filipinos, Jempé Café offers Frappuccinos served in different healthy

flavors. Concerned with the health of the customers, the business will be

able to satisfy especially the coffee lovers and at the same time those who

are health conscious.
