In his book of al-Kalim al-±ayyib, Sayyid `Al¢ Kh¡n says, “The following is a form of seeking aid from The Argument
of Allah and the Patron of the Age (Imam al-Mahd¢)—peace be upon him: Wherever you are, you may offer a two-
unit prayer, reading S£rah al-F¡ti¦ah and any other one in each unit. Yet, it is advisable to read S£rah al-Fat¦ (No.
48) in the first unit and S£rah al-Na¥r (No. 110) in the second. You may then stand up, facing the kiblah direction
under the sky and then say the following:
Peace of Allah—perfect,
complete,
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟﺘﱠﺎﻡ‬
‫ﻣ ﹸ‬ ‫ﻪ ﭐﹾﻟﻜﹶﺎ‬ ‫ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ‬‫ﻼﻡ‬
‫ﺳﹶ‬
comprehensive, and thorough; and His
endless benedictions ‫ﻤ ﹸﺔ‬ ‫ﺋ‬‫ﺍ‬‫ ﭐﻟﺪ‬‫ﺍﹸﺗﻪ‬‫ﺻ ﹶﻠﻮ‬
‫ ﹶ‬‫ ﻭ‬‫ﺎﻡ‬‫ﻞ ﭐﹾﻟﻌ‬
‫ﻣ ﹸ‬ ‫ﭐﻟﺸﱠﺎ‬
and His everlasting, perfect blessings be
upon the Argument of Allah ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ‬ ‫ﺠ‬
‫ﺣ‬
 ٰ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬ ‫ﻣ ﹸﺔ‬ ‫ﻤ ﹸﺔ ﭐﻟﺘﱠﺎ‬ ‫ﺋ‬‫ ﭐﹾﻟﻘﹶﺎ‬‫ﻛﹶﺎﹸﺗﻪ‬‫ﺑﺮ‬‫ﻭ‬
His representative in His lands and realm ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﺑﹺﻼ‬‫ﻪ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺿ‬
 ‫ﺭ‬ ‫ﻲ ﺍ‬‫ﻪ ﻓ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻟ‬‫ﻭ‬‫ﻭ‬
His viceroy among His creatures and
servants, the offspring of Prophet hood, ‫ﺓ‬ ‫ﺒﻮ‬ ‫ﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱡﻨ‬ ‫ﻼﹶﻟ‬‫ﺳ‬‫ﻩ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻋﺒ‬ ‫ﻪ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻘ‬ ‫ﺧ ﹾﻠ‬
‫ﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﹶ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻴ ﹶﻔ‬‫ﺧﻠ‬
‫ ﹶ‬‫ﻭ‬
the completion of the (Holy) Progeny and the
Choice Ones, the Patron of the Age, ‫ﻥ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ﺐ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰﻣ‬
‫ﺣ ﹺ‬
 ‫ﺓ ﺻﹶﺎ‬ ‫ﺼ ﹾﻔﻮ‬
‫ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬‫ﺓ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻌ ﹾﺘﺮ‬ ‫ﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﻘ‬ ‫ﺑ‬‫ﻭ‬
the demonstrator of the (true) faith, the
teacher of the laws of the Qur’an, ‫ﻥ‬
 ‫ﺁ‬‫ﺣﻜﹶﺎ ﹺﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹸﻘﺮ‬
 ‫ﻦ ﺍ‬
‫ﻣ ﹶﻠ ﱢﻘ ﹺ‬ ‫ﻥ ﻭ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻈ ﹺﻬ ﹺﺮ ﭐﻹِﻳـﻤ‬
‫ﻣ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
the purger of the earth, the spreader of
justice all over the earth, ‫ﺽ‬
‫ﺮ ﹺ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﻝ ﻭ‬
‫ﻲ ﭐﻟﻄﱡﻮ ﹺ‬‫ﻝ ﻓ‬
‫ﺪﹺ‬
 ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺷ ﹺﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
 ‫ﻧﹶﺎ‬‫ﺽ ﻭ‬
‫ﺭ ﹺ‬ ‫ﻬ ﹺﺮ ﭐﻻ‬ ‫ﻄ‬
‫ﻣ ﹶ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
the Argument (al-Hujjah), the Riser (al-
Qaem), the Well-guided (al-Mahdi), the ‫ﺿﻲ‬
 ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻈ ﹺﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻤ ﹾﻨ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬ ‫ﺎ ﹺﻡ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﻹﻣ‬
ِ ‫ ﭐ‬‫ﺪﻱ‬
 ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ‬

Leader, the Awaited, the Pleased,

the descendant of the Infallible Imams, ‫ﻫﺮﹺﻳﻦ‬ ‫ﺔ ﭐﻟﻄﱠﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺋ‬‫ﻦ ﭐﻻ‬
‫ﺑ ﹺ‬‫ﭐ‬‫ﻭ‬
the Successor, the son of the Pleased
Successors (of the Prophets), the Guide, the
Immaculate,
‫ﻌﺼﹸﻮ ﹺﻡ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻱ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﺎﺩ‬‫ ﭐﹾﻟﻬ‬‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﺿﻴ‬
 ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺎ ِﺀ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﺻﻴ‬
 ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻦ ﭐﻻ‬
‫ﺑ ﹺ‬‫ ﭐ‬‫ﺻﻲ‬
 ‫ﭐﹾﻟﻮ‬
and the son of the Imams—the guides and
immaculate. ‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﻌﺼﹸﻮﻣ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺓ ﭐﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﺍ‬‫ﻬﺪ‬ ‫ﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺋ‬‫ﻦ ﭐﻻ‬
‫ﺑ ﹺ‬‫ﭐ‬
Peace be upon you, O grantor of dignity to
the oppressed and faithful ones. ‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﻌﻔ‬ ‫ﻀ‬
‫ﺴ ﹶﺘ ﹾ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﻣﻨﹺﻴﻦ‬ ‫ﺆ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻌ ﱠﺰ ﭐﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬
‫ﺴﹶ‬ ‫ﺍﻟ‬
Peace be upon you, O humiliator of the
arrogant and oppressing unbelievers. ‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﻟﻤ‬‫ ﭐﻟﻈﱠﺎ‬‫ﺒﺮﹺﻳﻦ‬ ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﻤ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬ ‫ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﻓﺮﹺﻳﻦ‬ ‫ﻝ ﭐﹾﻟﻜﹶﺎ‬
‫ﺬﱠ‬
 ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
Peace be upon you, O my master, the
Patron of the Age. ‫ﻥ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰﻣ‬‫ﺣﺐ‬
 ‫ﺎ ﺻﹶﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻻﻱ‬‫ﻣﻮ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s
Messenger. ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ‬
‫ﻮ ﹺ‬‫ﺳ‬‫ ﺭ‬‫ﺑﻦ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of the
Commander of the Believers. ‫ﻣﻨﹺﻴﻦ‬ ‫ﺆ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻴ ﹺﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﻣ‬‫ ﺍ‬‫ﺑﻦ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the
Luminous ‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﺎﹶﻟﻤ‬‫ﺎ ِﺀ ﭐﹾﻟﻌ‬‫ﺓ ﹺﻧﺴ‬ ‫ﻴﺪ‬ ‫ﺳ‬
 ‫ﺍ ِﺀ‬‫ﻫﺮ‬ ‫ﻤ ﹶﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰ‬ ‫ﻃ‬ ‫ ﻓﹶﺎ‬‫ﺑﻦ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
and the Doyenne of the women of the world.
Peace be upon you, O son of the Imams—
the arguments (of Allah) and Immaculate ‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﻌﺼﹸﻮﻣ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺞ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺠ ﹺ‬
‫ﺤ‬ ‫ﺔ ﭐﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺋ‬‫ ﭐﻻ‬‫ﺑﻦ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
and the leader of all creatures. ‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﻤﻌ‬ ‫ﺟ‬
 ‫ﻖ ﺍ‬
‫ﺨ ﹾﻠ ﹺ‬
‫ﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬ ‫ﺎﻡ‬‫ﻹﻣ‬

Peace be upon you, O my master ‫ﻻﻱ‬‫ﻣﻮ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺍﻟﺴ‬
addressed by him who is loyal to your
(divinely commissioned) leadership. ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻳ‬‫ﻲ ﭐﹾﻟﻮﹺﻻ‬‫ ﻓ‬‫ﺺ ﹶﻟﻚ‬
‫ﻠ ﹴ‬ ‫ﺨ‬
‫ﻣ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻼﻡ‬‫ﺳ‬
I bear witness that you are the well-guided
Imam in word and deed, ‫ﻼ‬
‫ﻌ ﹰ‬ ‫ﻓ‬ ‫ﻻ ﻭ‬
‫ﻮ ﹰ‬ ‫ ﹶﻗ‬‫ﺪﻱ‬
 ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﭐﹾﻟ‬‫ﺎﻡ‬‫ﻹﻣ‬
ِ ‫ ﭐ‬‫ﱠﻧﻚ‬‫ ﺍ‬‫ﻬﺪ‬ ‫ﺷ‬
‫ ﹾ‬‫ﺍ‬
it is you who shall fill the earth with justice
and impartiality ‫ﻻ‬
‫ﺪﹰ‬
 ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻄ ﹰﺎ ﻭ‬‫ﻗﺴ‬ ‫ﺽ‬
‫ﺭ ﹶ‬ ‫ ﭐﻻ‬‫ﻤ ﹶﻠﺎ‬ ‫ﻱ ﹶﺗ‬‫ﺖ ﭐﱠﻟﺬ‬
‫ﹾﻧ ﹶ‬‫ﺍ‬‫ﻭ‬
after it will be filled with wrong and partiality. ‫ﺭﹰﺍ‬‫ﺟﻮ‬
 ‫ﺖ ﹸﻇﻠﹾﻤﹰﺎ ﻭ‬
‫ﻠ ﹶﺌ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﻣ‬‫ﻌﺪ‬ ‫ﺑ‬
So, may Allah hasten your reappearance
make easy your advent,, ‫ﺟﻚ‬
 ‫ﺨﺮ‬
‫ﻣ ﹾ‬ ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻬ ﹶ‬ ‫ﺳ‬
 ‫ ﻭ‬‫ﺟﻚ‬
 ‫ ﹶﻓﺮ‬‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠﻪ‬
‫ﺠ ﹶ‬
 ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﹶﻓ‬
make nearer the time of your coming,
increase the number of your supporters and
backers,
‫ﺍﹶﻧﻚ‬‫ﻋﻮ‬ ‫ﺍ‬‫ ﻭ‬‫ﻙ‬‫ﹾﻧﺼﹶﺎﺭ‬‫ ﺍ‬‫ ﹶﻛ ﱠﺜﺮ‬‫ ﻭ‬‫ﺎﹶﻧﻚ‬‫ ﹶﺯﻣ‬‫ﺏ‬‫ ﹶﻗﺮ‬‫ﻭ‬
and fulfill for you all that which He has
promised you. ‫ﻙ‬‫ﻋﺪ‬ ‫ﺎ ﻭ‬‫ ﻣ‬‫ﺠ ﹶﺰ ﹶﻟﻚ‬
 ‫ﹾﻧ‬‫ﺍ‬‫ﻭ‬
He is surely the most truthful of all those
who can speak (and He has said): :‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﺋﻠ‬‫ ﭐﹾﻟﻘﹶﺎ‬‫ﻕ‬‫ﺻﺪ‬
‫ ﹾ‬‫ ﺍ‬‫ﻬﻮ‬ ‫ﹶﻓ‬
“We desired to bestow a favor upon those
who were deemed weak in the land, ‫ﺽ‬
‫ﺭ ﹺ‬ ‫ﻲ ﭐﻻ‬‫ﻌﻔﹸﻮﺍ ﻓ‬ ‫ﻀ‬
‫ﺳ ﹸﺘ ﹾ‬
 ‫ ﭐ‬‫ﻳﻦ‬‫ﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﭐﱠﻟﺬ‬ ‫ﻤﻦ‬ ‫ﻥ ﹶﻧ‬
 ‫ ﺍ‬‫ﹸﻧﺮﹺﻳﺪ‬‫)ﻭ‬
make them the Imams, and make them the
heirs.” (‫ﻴﻦ‬‫ﺍ ﹺﺭﺛ‬‫ ﭐﹾﻟﻮ‬‫ﻬﻢ‬ ‫ﻌ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﺠ‬
 ‫ﹶﻧ‬‫ﻤ ﹰﺔ ﻭ‬ ‫ﺋ‬‫ﻢ ﺍ‬
 ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻌ ﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﺠ‬
 ‫ﹶﻧ‬‫ﻭ‬
O my master! O Patron of the Age! O son of
Allah’s Messenger! ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ‬
‫ﻮ ﹺ‬‫ﺳ‬‫ ﺭ‬‫ﺑﻦ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻥ ﻳ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰﻣ‬‫ﺣﺐ‬
 ‫ﺎ ﺻﹶﺎ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻻﻱ‬‫ﻣﻮ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻳ‬
My request is... …‫ﻲ‬‫ﺟﺘ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ﺣ‬
Mention your need and then go on saying:
So, intercede for me so that it will be settled, ‫ﺎ‬‫ﺣﻬ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻲ ﹶﻧﺠ‬‫ﻲ ﻓ‬‫ﻊ ﻟ‬
 ‫ﺷ ﹶﻔ‬
‫ﻓﹶﭑ ﹾ‬
for I am turning my face towards you for settling my
request,
‫ﻲ‬‫ﺟﺘ‬
 ‫ﺎ‬‫ ﹺﺑﺤ‬‫ﻴﻚ‬ ‫ﺖ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ‬
‫ﻬ ﹸ‬ ‫ﺟ‬
 ‫ﺪ ﹶﺗﻮ‬
 ‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﻘ‬
since I know for sure that you enjoy with Allah admissible
word of intercession, ‫ﻮﹶﻟ ﹰﺔ‬‫ﻣ ﹾﻘﺒ‬ ‫ﻋ ﹰﺔ‬ ‫ﺷﻔﹶﺎ‬
‫ﻪ ﹶ‬ ‫ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ‬‫ﻋ ﹾﻨﺪ‬ ‫ ﹶﻟﻚ‬‫ﻥ‬‫ﻲ ﺍ‬‫ﻌ ﹾﻠﻤ‬ ‫ﻟ‬
and praiseworthy standing. ‫ﻮﺩﹰﺍ‬‫ﺤﻤ‬
 ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻣﻘﹶﺎﻣ ﹰﺎ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
So, I ask you in the name of Him Who granted you (i.e. the
Ahl al-Bayt) exclusively the right of representing Him, ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﻣ ﹺﺮ‬ ‫ﻢ ﺑﹺﺎ‬
‫ﻜ‬‫ﺼﹸ‬
‫ﺧ ﹶﺘ ﱠ‬
‫ﻦﭐ ﹾ‬
‫ﻣ ﹺ‬ ‫ﺤﻖ‬
 ‫ﹶﻓ ﹺﺒ‬
and admitted you all to keep His secrets, ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺴﺮ‬
 ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﻢ‬
 ‫ﺭﹶﺗﻀﹶﺎ ﹸﻛ‬ ‫ﭐ‬‫ﻭ‬
and I ask you in the name of the standing that you
exclusively enjoy with Allah, ‫ﻴ ﹶﻨﻪ‬ ‫ﺑ‬‫ﻢ ﻭ‬
‫ﻜ‬‫ﻴ ﹶﻨ ﹸ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ‬‫ﻋ ﹾﻨﺪ‬ ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﻜ‬‫ﻱ ﹶﻟ ﹸ‬‫ ﭐﱠﻟﺬ‬‫ﻥ‬‫ﺑﹺﭑﻟﺸﱠﺎ‬‫ﻭ‬
to ask Allah, the Exalted, to render successful my request, ‫ﻲ‬‫ﺒﺘ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺢ ﹶﻃ‬
‫ﺠ ﹺ‬
 ‫ﻲ ﹸﻧ‬‫ﺎﹶﻟﻰٰ ﻓ‬‫ ﹶﺗﻌ‬‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠﻪ‬
‫ﺳ ﹺ‬

to answer my prayer, ‫ﻲ‬‫ﺗ‬‫ﻋﻮ‬ ‫ﺔ ﺩ‬ ‫ﺑ‬‫ﺎ‬‫ﹺﺇﺟ‬‫ﻭ‬
and to relieve my grief. ‫ﻲ‬‫ﺑﺘ‬‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻒ ﹸﻛ‬
 ‫ﺸ‬
‫ ﹶﻛ ﹾ‬‫ﻭ‬

You may then ask for whatever you want, and it will be settled for you, by Allah’s permission.
