Adkhaar for the Morning and Evening O Allaah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be

worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your

‫ﺭ ﹺ‬ ‫ﻓﻲ ﺍ َﻷ‬ ‫ﻲ ٌﺀ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﻊ ﭐ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻀ‬
 ‫ﻳ‬ ‫ﺬﻱ ﹶﻻ‬ ‫ﷲ ﺍﱠﻟ‬ ِ ‫ﺴ ﹺﻢ ﺍ‬  ‫ﹺﺑ‬
‫ﻩ ﻻ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻪ ﺇ ﱠﻻ ﺍﻟﹼﻠ‬ ‫ ﹶﻻ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ‬، ‫ﺪ ﷲ‬ ‫ﺍﳊﹶﻤ‬‫ﻚ ﷲ ﻭ‬  ‫ﻤ ﹾﻠ‬ ‫ﺢ ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﺒ‬‫ﺻ‬
 ‫ﻭﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﻨﺎ‬‫ﺒﺤ‬‫ﺻ‬
 ‫ﹶﺃ‬
servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I [323/4 ‫ )ﺛﻼﺛﹰﺎ( ]ﺃﺑﻮ ﺩﺍﻭﺩ‬.‫ﻢ‬  ‫ﻠـﻴ‬‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﻊ ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻤﻴ‬ ‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻮ ﺍﻟ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻤﺎ ِﺀ‬ ‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﺍﻟ‬
can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have
،‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺪﻳ‬ ‫ﻲ ٍﺀ ﹶﻗ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﻋﹶﻠﻰ ﹸﻛ ﱢﻞ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ،‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺤ‬  ‫ﻪ ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻭﹶﻟ‬ ‫ﻚ‬
 ‫ﻤ ﹾﻠ‬ ‫ﻪ ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ ﹶﻟ‬،‫ﻚ ﹶﻟﻪ‬
 ‫ﺷ ﹺﺮﻳ‬ committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me and I
acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can
Bismillaahil-ladhee laa yadhurru ma`asmihi shayun fil-‘ardhi
wa laa fis-samaa’i wa huwas-samee`ul-`aleem. (3 times)
‫ﻋـﻮ ﹸﺫ‬ ‫ﻭﹶﺃ‬ ،‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺮ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ﻴ‬‫ﺧ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻮ ﹺﻡ‬ ‫ﻴ‬‫ﻫ ﹶﺬﺍ ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻓﻲ‬ ‫ﺮ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺧ‬ ‫ﻚ‬  ‫ـﹶﺄﹸﻟ‬‫ﺏ ﹶﺃﺳ‬  ‫ﺭ‬ forgive sin except You.
In the name of Allaah with whose name nothing is harmed on
‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻋﻮ ﹸﺫﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﺏ ﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﺭ‬ ،‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺮ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻮ ﹺﻡ‬ ‫ﻴ‬‫ﻫ ﹶﺬﺍ ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ـ‬‫ﻦ ﺷ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻚ‬  ‫ﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻚ‬
 ‫ﻴ‬‫ﻭﹺﺇﹶﻟ‬ ‫ﺕ‬
 ‫ﻤﻮ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﻚ‬
 ‫ﻭﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻴﺎ‬‫ﺤ‬
 ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﻚ‬
 ‫ﻭﹺﺑ‬ ،‫ﻨﺎ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻚ ﹶﺃ‬
 ‫ﻭﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻨﺎ‬‫ﺤ‬

 ‫ﻢ ﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺍﻟﱠﻠ‬ earth nor in the heavens and He is The All-Seeing, The All-

‫ﺏ‬‫ﻋ ﹶﺬﺍ ﹴ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻨﺎ ﹺﺭ‬‫ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟ‬ ‫ﺏ‬

Allaahumma bika asbahnaa wa bika amsaynaa, wa bika ‫ﷲ‬

Asbahnaa wa-asbahal-mulku lillaahi walhamdu lillaahi, laa O Allaah, by your leave we have reached the morning and by
ilaaha illAllaahu, wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa Your leave we have reached the evening, by Your leave we Radheetu billaahi rabban wa bil-islaami deenan wa bi-
lahul-hamd, wa huwa `alaa kulli shayin qadeer. Rabbi as- live and die and unto You is our resurrection. Muhammadin (salallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) nabiyyan.
aluka khayra maa fee hadhal-yawmi, wa khayra maa
ba`dahu, wa a`oodhu bika min sharri hadhal-yawmi, wa ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ ﺍﻟﹼﻠ‬،‫ﻌﻲ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﻓﻲ‬ ‫ـﹺﻨﻲ‬‫ﻋﺎﻓ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ ﺍﻟﹼﻠ‬،‫ﺪﹺﻧﻲ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﻓﻲ‬ ‫ـﹺﻨﻲ‬‫ﻋﺎﻓ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺍﻟﹼﻠ‬ I am pleased with Allaah as a Lord, and Islam as a religion and
Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a Prophet. (Once in the
sharri maa ba`dahu. Rabbi a`oodhu bika minal-kasali, wa
soo’il-kibari, Rabbi a`oodhu bika min `adhaabin fin-naari, ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻋـﻮ ﹸﺫﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻧﻲ ﹶﺃ‬‫ﻢ ﹺﺇ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ ﺍﻟﱠﻠ‬.‫ﺖ‬  ‫ـ‬‫ﻪ ﹺﺇ ﱠﻻ ﹶﺃﻧ‬ ‫ ﹶﻻ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ‬،‫ـ ﹺﺮﻱ‬‫ﺑﺼ‬ ‫ـﹺﻨﻲ ﰲ‬‫ﻋﺎﻓ‬ morning)

،‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻧ ﹶﺔ‬‫ﻭ ﹺﺯ‬ ،‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺴ‬

ِ ‫ﻧ ﹾﻔ‬ ‫ﺿﺎ‬
 ‫ﻭ ﹺﺭ‬ ،‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻘ‬ ‫ﺧ ﹾﻠ‬ ‫ﺩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺤ‬
 ‫ﻭﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ﺤﺎ ﹶﻥ ﺍ‬  ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﺳ‬
wa`adhabin fil-qabri.
We have reached the morning and at this very time unto
‫ﻪ ﹺﺇ ﱠﻻ‬ ‫ ﹶﻻ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ‬،‫ﺒ ﹺﺮ‬‫ﺏ ﺍﹾﻟ ﹶﻘ‬
‫ﻋ ﹶﺬﺍ ﹺ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻚ‬
 ‫ﻋـﻮ ﹸﺫﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻭﹶﺃ‬ ،‫ﺍﻟ ﹶﻔ ﹾﻘ ﹺﺮ‬‫ ﻭ‬،‫ﻦ ﺍﹾﻟ ﹸﻜ ﹾﻔ ﹺﺮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
Allaah belongs all sovereignty, and all praise is for Allaah. [324/4 ‫ )ﺛﻼﺛﹰﺎ( ]ﺃﺑﻮ ﺩﺍﻭﺩ‬.‫ﺖ‬  ‫ﻧ‬‫ﹶﺃ‬ [2090/4 ‫ )ﺛﻼﺛﹰﺎ( ]ﻣﺴﻠﻢ‬.‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺗ‬‫ﻤﺎ‬  ‫ﻠ‬‫ﺩ ﹶﻛ‬ ‫ﺪﺍ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬
None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone,
without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise Allaahumma `aafinee fee badanee, Allaahumma `aafinee fee Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi, `adada khalqihi wa ridhaa
and He is over all things omnipotent. My Lord, I ask You for sam`ee, Allaahumma `aafinee fee basaree, laa ilaaha illaa nafsihi, wa zinata `arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi. (3 times)
the good of this day and the good of what follows it and I anta. Allaahumma innee a`oodhu bika minal-kufri, wal-faqri, How perfect Allaah is and I praise Him by the number of His

 ‫ﻧ‬‫ﻢ ﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺍﻟﱠﻠ‬ be worshipped except You. O Allaah, I take refuge with You
from disbelief and poverty, and I take refuge with You from
Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi. (100 times)

 ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ـ‬‫ﺻﻨ‬  ‫ﺮ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻚ‬  ‫ﻋﻮ ﹸﺫﹺﺑ‬ ‫ ﹶﺃ‬،‫ﺖ‬
 ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺘ ﹶﻄ‬‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﻣﺎ ﭐ‬ ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻙ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be
worshipped except You. (Three times)
How perfect Allaah is and I praise Him. (One hundred times)

‫ﻪ ﻻ‬ ‫ﻧ‬‫ﻟﻲ ﹶﻓﹺﺈ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻔـ‬ ‫ـﹺﺒﻲ ﹶﻓﭑ ﹾﻏ‬‫ﺑﻮ ُﺀ ﹺﺑ ﹶﺬﻧ‬‫ﻭﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﻲ‬ ‫ﻋﹶﻠ‬ ‫ﻚ‬

‫ﻐﻴ ﹸ‬ ‫ﺘـ‬‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﻚ ﹶﺃ‬  ‫ﺘ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻡ ﹺﺑ‬ ‫ﻴﻮ‬‫ﻳﺎ ﹶﻗ‬ ‫ﻲ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻳﺎ‬

 ‫ﻤﺎ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻋـﻮ ﹸﺫ ﹺﺑ ﹶﻜ‬ ‫ﹶﺃ‬ [273/1 ‫ ]ﺻﺤﻴﺢ ﺍﻟﺘﺮﻏﻴﺐ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﺮﻫﻴﺐ‬.‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻴ ﹴ‬‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﺮﹶﻓ ﹶﺔ‬ ‫ﺴﻲ ﹶﻃ‬ ِ ‫ﻧ ﹾﻔ‬ ‫ﻜ ﹾﻠﹺﻨﻲ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰ‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻭ ﹶﻻ‬
Allaahumma anta rabbee, laa ilaaha illaa anta. Khalaqtanee [187/3 ‫ ﻭﺻﺤﻴﺢ ﺍﻟﺘﺮﻣﺬﻱ‬،290/2 ‫ﺃﻣﺴﻰ( ]ﺃﲪﺪ‬ Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom, bi-rahmatika astagheethu, aslih lee
wa ana `abduka, wa ana `alaa `ahdika wa wa`dika mas- sha’nee kullahu, wa laa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata `aynin.
A`oodhu bi-kalimatillaahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaq.
tata`tu. A`oodhu bika min sharri maa sana`tu. Aboo’u laka bi- (3 times in the evening) O Ever Living, O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, by Your
ni`matika `alayya, wa aboo’o bi-dhanbee, faghfir lee fa- mercy I seek assistance, rectify for me all of my affairs and do
innahu laa yaghfirudh-dhunooba illaa anta. I take refuge in Allaah’s perfect words from the evil He has
not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye.

mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa `alaa kulli shayin qadeer. Ghufraanak
(100 times) Alhamdu lillaahil-ladhee kasaanee hadhaa (ath-thawb) wa
razaqaneehi min ghayri hawlin minnee wa laa quwwah. I ask You (Allaah) for forgiveness.

 ‫ﺑ‬‫ﻋ ﹶﺬﺍ‬ ‫ﻗﹺﻨﻲ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺍﻟﱠﻠ‬ ‫ﻤﺪﹰﺍ‬ ‫ﺤ‬
 ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺪ ﹶﺃ ﱠﻥ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﻭﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻚ ﹶﻟ‬
 ‫ﺷ ﹺﺮﻳ‬ ‫ﻩ ﹶﻻ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﷲ‬
ُ ‫ﻪ ﹺﺇ ﱠﻻ ﺍ‬ ‫ﺪ ﹶﺃ ﹾﻥ ﹶﻻ ﹺﺇﹶﻟ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﹶﺃ‬
Bismillaah, tawakkaltu `alallaahi, wa laa hawla wa laa
Allaahumma qinee `adhaabaka yawma tab`athu `ibaadak. (3 [209/1 ‫ ]ﻣﺴﻠﻢ‬.‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺳﻮﹸﻟ‬  ‫ﺭ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻩ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺒ‬‫ﻋ‬ quwwata illaa billaah.

Bismikallaahumma amootu wa ‘ahyaa

In Your name O Allaah, I live and die.
Allaahummaj-`alnee minat-tawwaabeena waj`alnee minal- ،‫ﺭﺍ‬ ‫ﻧﻮ‬ ‫ﻗـﻲ‬‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻓ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ـ ﹾﻞ‬‫ﺟﻌ‬ ‫ﺍ‬‫ ﻭ‬،‫ﺭﺍ‬ ‫ﻧﻮ‬ ‫ﻣـﻲ‬ ‫ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ﻦ ﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻭ‬ ،‫ﺭﺍ‬ ‫ﻧﻮ‬ ‫ﻔﻲ‬ ‫ﺧ ﹾﻠ‬

from us and unto Him is the resurrection. light, and within my ears light, and within my eyes light, and
(Bismillaah) Allaahumma innee a`oodhu bika minal-khubthi place behind me light and in front of me light and above me

A`oodhu billaahil-`atheemi wa bi-wajhihil-kareemi wa
sultaanihil-qadeemi minash-shaytaanir-rajeemi [bismillaah,
was-salaatu was-salaamu `alaa rasoolillaah],
Allaahummaftah lee abwaaba rahmatik.
I take refuge with Allaah, The Supreme and with His Noble
Face, and His eternal authority from the accursed devil. In
the name of Allaah, and prayers and peace be upon the
Messenger of Allaah. O Allaah, open the gates of Your mercy
for me.

Bismillaahi was-salaatu was-salaamu `alaa rasoolillaahi,
Allaahumma innee as’aluka min fadhlika,
Allaahumma`simnee minash-shaytaanir-rajeem.
‘In the name of Allaah, and prayers and peace be upon the

Supplication for seeking guidance in forming a decision or

On the authority of Jaabir Ibn `Abdullaah  ‫ر ا‬, he said:
’The Prophet
would instruct us to pray for guidance in all of
our concerns, just as he would teach us a chapter from the
Qur’aan. He
would say ’ If any of you intends to undertake
a matter then let him pray two supererogatory units (two
rak`ah naafilah) of prayer and after which he should

‫ﻲ‬‫ﻋﻨ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺻ ﹺﺮ ﹾﻓ‬
 ‫ ﻓﹶﺎ‬،‫ﻣ ﹺﺮﻱ‬ ‫ﺔ ﹶﺃ‬ ‫ﺒ‬‫ﻗ‬‫ﻋﺎ‬‫ﺷﻲ ﻭ‬ ‫ﻌﺎ‬‫ﻭﻣ‬ ‫ﺩﻳﹺﻨﻲ‬ ‫ﻓﻲ‬ ‫ﻟﻲ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺍ َﻷ‬ How perfect You are O Allaah, and I praise You. I bear witness
that None has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek

 ‫ﺍ‬‫ﻭ‬ Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
Allaahumma inee astakheeruka bi`ilmika, wa astaqdiruka Supplication of the guest for the host
biqudratika, wa as’aluka min fadhlikal-`atheemi, fa-innaka

 ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﺭ‬ ‫ﺍ‬‫ﻭ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ـ‬‫ﺮ ﹶﻟﻬ‬ ‫ـ‬‫ﻭﭐ ﹾﻏﻔ‬ ،‫ﻢ‬‫ﺘﻬ‬‫ﺯ ﹾﻗ‬ ‫ﺭ‬ ‫ﻢ ﻓﻴﻤﺎ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻙ ﹶﻟ‬ ‫ﺑﺎ ﹺﺭ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺍﻟﱠﻠ‬
taqdiru wa laa aqdiru, wa ta`lamu wa laa a`lamu, wa anta
`alaamul-ghuyoob, Allaahumma in kunta ta`lamu anna
haadhal-amra (say your need) khayrun lee fee deenee wa Allaahumma baarik lahum feemaa razaqtahum, waghfir
ma`aashee wa `aaqibati amree, faqdirhu lee wa yassirhu lee lahum warhamhum.
thumma baarik lee feehi, wa in kunta ta`lamu anna haadhal- O Allaah, bless for them, that which You have provided them,
amra sharrun lee fee deenee wa ma`aashee wa `aaqibati forgive them and have mercy upon them.
 ‫ﺍﻟ‬‫ﺼﻼ ﹸﺓ ﻭ‬  ‫ﺍﻟ‬‫ﷲ ﻭ‬

to be good for me in relation to my religion, my life, and end,
then decree and facilitate it for me, and bless me with it, and .‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺪﻳ‬

if You know this affair to be ill for me towards my religion, my
