‫ﲪِﻦ اﻟﱠﺮِﺣْﻴِﻢ‬ ِ ‫ﺑِﺴِﻢ‬

ٰ ْ ‫ﷲ اﻟﱠﺮ‬ ْ
Prayer on the fifteenth Night of Sha‘ban

It is a practice of many of the pious people of the

Ummah to recite Surah Yāsīn three times on the 15th
night of Sha‘ban.

The first time, it is recited with the intention (niyyah) of

being blessed with a long life spent in obedience to
Allah. Then recite Surah al-Fatihah and recite Surah
Yāsīn and then recite the du‘a’ below.

The second time, it is recited with the intention (niyyah)

that calamities are diverted. Then recite Surah al-
Fatihah and recite Surah Yāsīn and then recite the du‘a’
below.

The third time, it is recited with the intention (niyyah) of

not being in need of people and being blessed with a
good ending. Then recite Surah al-Fatihah and recite
Surah Yāsīn and then recite the du‘a’ below.
 ‫ﲪِﻦ اﻟﱠﺮِﺣْﻴِﻢ‬ ‫ﺑِﺴِﻢ ِ‬
‫ﷲ اﻟﱠﺮ ْ ٰ‬ ‫ْ‬
‫دﻋﺎء ﻟﻴﻠﺔ اﻟﻨﺼﻒ ﻣﻦ ﺷﻌﺒﺎن‬

‫ﺻْﺤﺒِِﻪ َوَﺳ ِﻠّﻢ‪.‬‬ ‫و‬

‫َ َ َ‬
‫وﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﷲ َﻋﻠٰﻰ ﺳﻴِِﺪَ‪ُ 1‬ﳏَﱠﻤٍﺪ وآﻟِ ِ‬
‫ﻪ‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ َ‬
‫اَﻟ ٰﻠُّﻬﱠﻢ َ? َذا اﻟْـَﻤِّﻦ‪َ ،‬وَﻻ ﻳُـَﻤﱡﻦ َﻋﻠَﻪ‪َ ?َ ،‬ذا اﻟْـَﺠَﻼِل َوا ِْﻹْﻛَﺮام‪َ ?َ ،‬ذا‬
‫ﺖ ﻇَْﻬَﺮ اﻟﱠﻼِﺟﺌِْﲔ‪َ ،‬وَﺟﺎَر‬ ‫اﻟﻄﱠْﻮِل وا ِْﻹﻧْـَﻌﺎم‪َ ،‬ﻻ إِﻟَﻪَ إِﱠﻻ أَﻧْ َ‬
‫اﻟْـُﻤْﺴﺘَِﺠ ِْﲑﻳْﻦ‪َ ،‬وَﻣﺄَْﻣَﻦ اﻟْـَﺨﺎﺋِِﻔْﲔ‪.‬‬

‫ب‪َ ،‬ﺷِﻘﻴ‪l‬ﺎ أَْو َﻣـْﺤُﺮْوًﻣﺎ أَْو‬ ‫ﺖ َﻛﺘَـ ْﺒـﺘَِﲏ ِﻋْﻨَﺪَك ِﰲ أُِّم اﻟِْﻜﺘَﺎ ِ‬ ‫ٰ‬
‫اَﻟﻠُّﻬﱠﻢ إِْن ُﻛْﻨ َ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ٰ‬
‫ﻚ َﺷَﻘﺎَوِﰐ‬ ‫ْ َ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻀ‬ ‫ﻔ‬‫َ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﱠ‬ ‫ﱰا َﻋﻠَﱠﻲ ِﰲ اﻟ ِّﺮزِق ﻓَﺎْﻣُﺢ اﻟ ُ‬
‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﻠ‬
‫ّ‬ ‫َﻣﻄُْﺮوًدا أَْو ُﻣَﻘ ﱠً‬
‫َوِﺣْﺮَﻣﺎِﱐ َوﻃَْﺮِدي َوإِﻗْـﺘَﺎَر ِرْزِﻗﻲ‪َ ،‬وأَﺛْﺒِْﺘﻨِـﻲ ِﻋْﻨَﺪَك ِﰲ أُِّم اﻟِْﻜﺘَﺎب‪،‬‬
‫ﻚ اﻟْـَﺤﱡﻖ ِﰲ‬ ‫ﺖ َوﻗَـْﻮﻟُ َ‬ ‫ﻚ ﻗُـْﻠ َ‬ ‫ت‪ .‬ﻓَِﺈﻧﱠ َ‬ ‫ﺳِﻌﻴًﺪا ﻣﺮُزوﻗًﺎ ﻣﻮﻓﱠـًﻘﺎ ﻟِْﻠَﺨْﲑا ِ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ ْ ْ َُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ﻚ اﻟُْﻤﺮَﺳﻞ‪) :‬ﻳَـْﻤُﺤﻮا ﷲُ َﻣﺎ ﻳََﺸﺂُء‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬‫َ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻛَ َ ُ َ َ ٰ َ ّ َ‬
‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﻰ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻋ‬ ‫‪،‬‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ل‬ ‫ﺰ‬ ‫ـ‬‫ﻨ‬‫ْ‬ ‫ﻤ‬‫ْ‬
‫ﻟ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﺘ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﺐ(‪.‬‬ ‫ﺖ َوِﻋْﻨَﺪﻩُ‪ ،‬أُﱡم اﻟِْﻜﺘَـٰ ِ‬ ‫َوﻳُـﺜْﺒِ ُ‬
‫ﻒ ِﻣْﻦ َﺷْﻌﺒَﺎِن اﻟُْﻤَﻜﱠﺮم‪ ،‬اَﻟﱠﺘِـﻲ‬ ‫ﺼِ‬ ‫ْ ّْ‬‫ِ‬
‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻠ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ـ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﻟ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﰲ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ﻢ‬‫ِ‬ ‫ﻈ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﻋ‬
‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬‫ﻷ‬‫ْ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﻲ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻠ‬
‫ّ‬ ‫إِﻟَـِﻬﻲ ِ•ﻟﺘﱠَﺠ‬
‫ﻒ َﻋﻨﱠﺎ ِﻣَﻦ‬ ‫ﻚ أَْن ﺗَْﻜِﺸ َ‬ ‫ﱪم‪ ،‬ﻧَْﺴﺄَﻟُ َ‬ ‫ﻳُـْﻔَﺮُق ِﻓ ْﻴـَﻬﺎ ُﻛﱡﻞ أَْﻣٍﺮ َﺣِﻜْﻴٍﻢ َوﻳُ َْ‬
‫ﺖ اْﻷََﻋﱡﺰ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ﱠ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻧ‬
‫ْ‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫إ‬ ‫‪،‬‬‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺑ‬
‫ْ ُ ََ َ ْ‬‫ﺖ‬ ‫ْ‬‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻣ‬ ‫و‬ ‫‪،‬‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ـ‬
‫َ‬‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻣ‬‫اﻟْﺒََﻼ َ ْ ُ َ َ‬
‫و‬ ‫‪،‬‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻠ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ـ‬
‫َ‬‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻣ‬ ‫‪،‬‬‫ء‬
‫اْﻷَْﻛَﺮم‪.‬‬
‫ﺻْﺤﺒِِﻪ َوَﺳﻠﱠَﻢ‪.‬‬ ‫و‬ ‫وﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﷲ َﻋﻠٰﻰ ﺳﻴِِﺪَ‪ُ 1‬ﳏَﱠﻤٍﺪ وآﻟِ ِ‬
‫ﻪ‬
‫َ َ َ‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫َ َ‬
Transliteration
BismilLahi-r Rahmani-r Raheem, Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil ‘Alameen, wa Sallallahu ‘alaa
Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘alaa Aalihi wa Sahbihi wa sallim.

Allāhumma yaa dhal manni wa la yumannu ‘alayh, yaa dhal Jalali wal ikraam, yaa Dhat-Tawli
wal in‘aam, Laa illaha illaa anta Zahral-laaji‘een, wa jaaral mustajireen, wa ma’manal
khaa’ifeen.

Allāhumma in kunta katab-tanee ‘Indaka fee Ummil Kitab, shaqiyan aw mahruman aw

matrudan aw muqatta-ran ‘alayya fir-rizq. Famhul-lāhumma bi-Fadhlika shaqaawatee wa hir-
maanee wa tardee wa iqtaa ra rizqee, wa ath-bitnee ‘Indaka fee Ummil Kitaab, sa‘eedaan
marzuqaan muwaffaqan lil-khayraat.

Faa-Innaka qulta wa Qawlukal haqq fee Kitaabikal munzal, ‘alaa lisaani nabiyyikal mursal,
yamhul-Lahu maa yashaa’u wa yuthbitu, wa ‘Indahu Ummul Kitab.

Ilaahi bitta jallil a‘zam fee laylatin-nisfi min Sha‘baanil- mukarram, allatee yufraku feehaa kullu
amrin hakeemin wa yubram. Nas-aluka an takshifa ‘annaa minal balaa’i, maa na‘lam, wa maa
laa na‘lam , wa maa anta bihi a‘lam Innaka antal A‘azzul Akram.

wa Sallallahu ‘alaa Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘alaa Aalihi wa Sahbihi wa sallim, wal-Hamdu

Lillahi Rabbil ‘Alameen

Translation
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Ever Merciful. All Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of
all the worlds.

And may Allah bless and bestow peace on our master Sayyidina Muhammad and on his Family
and Companions.

O Allah! You are the Bestower of favours and no one has favour over you. O The Possessor of
Majesty and Grandeur. O The Distributor of bounty and rewards. There is none worthy of
worship except You (O Allah) who grants safety and refuge to those that seek it and to those in
fear.

O Allah! If in the Mother of the Real Book that is with You, You have written me down as
someone who is doubtful of achieving salvation, or deprived, or rejected or without enough
sustenance. Then, O Allah, with your Grace, remove all of these misfortunes from me and in
the Mother of the Real Book that is with you, establish me as someone who is blessed, with
abundant provision and charitable good deeds. Indeed, what You said in The Holy Book, You
sent through the blessed tongue of Your Holy Prophet is true: “Allah erases whatever He wills
and confirms (whatever He wills). And with Him alone is The Mother of the Real Book (the
Protected Tablet [al-Lawh al-Mahfuz])”. (Surah al-Ra‘d 13:39)

O my Lord! For the sake of Your Great Divine Manifestation on this middle (fifteenth) night of the
ennobled month of Sha‘baan, in which You issue all Wise and Irrevocable Decrees. (Surah al-
Dukhān 44:59)

We ask You to remove from us all calamities, those that we know as well as those that we don’t,
while You know everything. Surely, You are The Most Mighty, The Most Generous.
And may Allah bless and bestow peace on our master Sayyidina Muhammad and on his Family
and Companions.

And all Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.
