I. Objectives
To learn how cascade of flip-flops transfers output throughout the
circuit
II. Materials
4013 IC (D Flip Flop with Set and Clear)
Connecting Wires
4x LEDs
III. Circuit Diagram

IV. Procedures
1. Connect the circuit as shown
2. Connect LEDs at the output from QA and QD
3. Check if the output is correct in the truth table
V. Observation
We have observed that the output of the last flip-flop is
connected to the input of the first flip-flop. The output of the first
flip-flop is transferred to the following in which the output of the
following becomes 1 and the first flip-flop becomes zero. The
process continues in which it forms a ring counter.
