Activity Mechanics:
Day 1.
1. The students will be divided into different sub-group based on their chosen profession.
Afterwards, the facilitator will divide them into three major groups, equally divided per
profession.
2. Each group will assign a representative or a leader.
3. The facilitator will have an orientation with the whole class regarding the Community Action
Initiative Plan that they are going to create and distribution of the Action Initiative Plan
Template.
3.1. The facilitator will discuss the Rubrics for Community Action Initiative Plan.
3.2. The group leader will inquire to its members about what are hopes and dreams for
the community and why these dreams are important. (Brainstorming)
3.3. The Leader will review and integrate the answers into a clear, concise, positive, and
acceptable vision and mission statement.
3.4. Each group will enlist different objectives based on their vision and mission. These
objectives must be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-
bound).
3.5. The leader of the group must collect and integrate the objectives generated by the
members. The objectives must be finalized with the group’s approval.
3.6. Ones the objectives have been decided, identify the required activities to accomplish
each objective.
3.7. Create flow of the programmed about the Action initiative Plan.
3.8. Each of the group will identify the role of each member according to their chosen
profession.
4. The facilitator will give initial instructions for Day 2.
4.1. Each group must have a creative powerpoint presentation about their Action
Initiative Plan that will help them explain to the class on Day 2.
4.2. Each group must prepare a simulation about the Action Initiative Plan that they are
going to utilized.
4.3. The facilitator will discuss the rubrics for the presentation and simulation.
Day 2
1. The facilitator will instruct the class about “My Role, My Profession” it is about the role of
each participant in the Action initiative plan.
1.1. Each of the group will begin the Day 2 with creative introduction about their role in
the Action initiative that they are going to utilized. This activity is like an
introduction of the participant in the pageant.
1.2. The students will be given 30 minutes for them to prepare for the activity.
1.3. Presentation of “My Role, My Profession.
2. Presentation of the Action Initiative Plan using the powerpoint presentation.
2.1. Each group will be given a maximum of 20 minutes to present their Action Initiative
Plan that they created to the class.
3. Simulation of the Community Action Initiative Plan.
3.1. Each of the group will present a creative simulation about their proposed Community
Action Initiative Plan.
3.2. The class will have 20 minutes preparation time before the presentation of the
simulation.
3.3. Each group will have a maximum of 30 minutes for the presentation of the
simulation.
4. The facilitator will initiate a guided discussion based on the conclusions of the students about
the activities that they did.
