Reporting to and working in partnership with the Senior Technician, the Apprentice
Technical Engineer will provide maintenance and repairs to site equipment with a
focus on machine reliability, therefore optimising machine performance and income.
Responsible for fault diagnostics and effective repair, parts ordering, proactive
serving and ensuring standards are maintained in line with the Service Level
Agreement. Emphasis on being a value adding service provider, giving a first class
service to all departments with the focus being delivering results.
1970's
Luxury Leisure, formerly owned by the Noble Organisation, was founded. The
organisation developed a portfolio of amusement arcades, including the iconic
Nobles Amusements situated in Scotland, Northern England and Sussex.
1980's
The Noble Organisation expanded, opening adult gaming centres from the
Midlands and the south-east, including Sun Valley Amusements and
Shoppers Pride Amusements.
1990's
2000's
Kwik Tan was established as an ancillary business, and fast became the
market leader in UV tanning. Kwik Tan salons are located either within or
above the gaming venue. There are now 42 salons across England. For more

2010's
Luxury Leisure became part of the NOVOMATIC UK Group in 2014 and took
an enviable position amongst a portfolio of brands under the NOVOMATIC
umbrella including Gamester, Bell Fruit Games and Astra. The entire gaming
estate underwent a rebrand to become Admiral. In 2016 NOVOMATIC UK
acquired Galerius, boasting 144 gaming venues mainly branded as
‘Quicksilver’ and in 2017 both companies, Luxury Leisure and Talarius,
combined.
Present
Now with 233 gaming venues, Luxury Leisure Talarius makes up 22.5% of the
total AGC venues in Great Britain. A full rebranding and refurbishment
program is underway and by winter 2018, all stores will be aligned behind the
Admiral brand. The newly refurbished venues showcase the latest interactive
and technological features the gaming group has to offer.
It is a very well established company within the UK and a leader in its industry. As
there are many employees there is always room for Improvement. It is a sense of
achievement not just in my working life but in my personal life
I believe that the role is suited to me as from experience such as building circuits
manually and I found this extremely beneficial a gained a better understanding of the
task. Allowing me to become more independent alongside helping me to reach a
goal of a fully qualified technical engineer.
While on my level 3 course I have learnt how to build and test circuits also the
interpreting of different engineering drawings. I have already gained my safety
passport where I had to learn about how important safety is at work.
I see myself having completed all of my relevant studies to the highest grades while
learning the trade. Having completed this my aim so to become a fully qualified
engineer with luxury and leisure.
I honestly believe that both I and the company will benefit if I became an apprentice
at the company. I will be able to offer your company great enthusiasm, passion and
determination to succeed in the engineering industry. For myself, I will be given the
opportunity to learn from such an honourable and respected company.
About yourself?
I am currently studying an electrical apprenticeship course and I am now wanting to
gain an apprenticeship as I feel that this is the way I can progress more career more
effectively with the backing of a good company.
