EXERCISE 2: Write a paragraph about what you’re going to do tomorrow. Using


simple future and May or might

Tomorrow I will get up early, I can have a video conference at 7 in the morning,
then I will take a partial English exam, then I can start finishing my homework that
I have pending, in the afternoon I may go out to play for a while, it may start to do a
little exercise, at the end of the day I can end up very tired and go to bed.

MAYBE (ONE WORD) MAY BE (TWO WORDS)


The word maybe means “possibly”
Maybe comes in front of a subject and verb
May be is used as the verb of a sentence
EXERCISE 3: Find the sentences where maybe is used as an adverb and where
may is used as a part of the verb.

B: I don’t know. Maybe he’s at the office.

6. A: Is Amanda married?

B: Hmmmm. I’m not sure. Maybe she is, and might she isn’t.
