GROUP ASSIGNMENT

FOR MEETING 19 AND MEETING 20

INFORMATION:

 READ ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED AT THIS TASK COMPLETELY (IN DETAIL)


TO AVOID MISS-UNDERSTANDING)
 This assignment is assigned to replace the presentation session in the class of Meeting 19 and 20
 The purpose of this assignment is students still can do presentation session with different format
(context)
 Later, there will be DISCUSSION SESSION (Question &Answer session) for each topic of
Meeting 19 and 20 (The lecturer will inform the schedule)
 The lecturer devides the class into some groups based on the materials/ sub-topics from the book
 The lecturer chooses the group members are based on:
 Variation of students English proficiency
 Variation of students competency dealing with IMMALD
 Level of difficulty of each topic/ sub-topic
 Gender variation

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Download 2 presentation video as the example of this assignment which had already shared by the
lecturer in class WA group
2. Watch 2 presentation video as the example of this assignment which had already shared by the
lecturer in class WA group
3. Read the table of the names of group member below
4. Read the table of the topic for each group below
5. Create a (one) VIDEO PRESENTATION (one group one video) based on the topic given (each
group has different topic from Alan Cunningsworth book) and based on the example of the video
presentation shared before
ROLES IN CREATING VIDEO:

 Each group can devide each job description (in this context, it’s dealing with the content/ part of the
topic given) for each group member
 The lecturer doesn’t decide the time duration for the PRESENTATION VIDEO OF EACH
GROUP because the topic of each group is different in term of difficulty level and the length of the
text (source/ book)
 Every student in each group MUST do PRESENTATION in the video
(show your face like in the example video)
 1 (one) STUDENT has about 10 - 12 MINUTES in doing presentation in the video (with 2 or 3
slides)
 Every student in each group MUST create PPT (POWER POINT, NOT POWER SENTENCE),
as the content inside the video while doing presentation
 1 (one) student in each group can create PPT maximal 3 slides (2 or 3 slides for 10 – 12
minutes)
 The leader of the group combines all presentation video files (from each group member) to become
1 (one) VIDEO PRESENTATION OF THE GROUP
 Each group just SUBMIT/ SEND 1(ONE) PRESENTATION VIDEO FILE
 The first slide appeared in the video is the slide of GROUP IDENTITY including:
 Title of the topic (see the table below)
 Name of the class and course (IMMALD – B/ C class)
 Name of the group (e.g. Group 1)
 Complete names of the group members with the NIM
with the voice of introduction session of one or all group members
 EACH SLIDE appeared in the video should be COHERENCE between one student to other
students in 1 (one) group. Suggestion: Use the same/ similar background design for all slides in 1
(one) group

SCORING (ASSESSMENT):

 There will be GROUP SCORE for this group assignment


 There will be also INDIVIDUAL SCORE for each student in each group
 Scoring is based on some aspects:
 Presentation video
 PPT inside the video
 Presentation session in the video, especially dealing with the explanation of the content of the
topic/ sub topic and language used by the students
 Affective aspects like team work, responsibility, originality (avoiding plagiarism), etc.
 Discussion session (later)
SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

 Group 1- 5 have to submit/share the VIDEO FILE on MONDAY, 6 April 2020 at 8 – 9 a.m.
in our WA group (class group)
 Group 6 - 10 have to submit/ share the VIDEO FILE on WEDNESDAY, 6 April 2020 at 8 – 9 a.m.
in our WA group (class group)
 The leader of the group who has to submit/ share it
 If the video can’t be sent in WA group because the file is big, the lecturer will inform about where to
submit it later (furthure information)
 The submission deadline can be changed based on the agreement of the lecturer and all students (if
we reschedule our online class meeting)
