PRE-LESSON: (10 minutes)
1. Pupils’ prior knowledge is activated with a True/False activity. Pupils are given a series of statements verbally and pupils have to vote
whether the statement is true or false.

LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (40 minutes)


1. Pupils turn to Full Blast page 12 and look at the Speaking Activity. Pupils form groups of 4.
2. Pupils look at the 4 pictures and describe the activities they show.
3. Pupils’ attention are drawn to the list of questions as well as to the words and phrases in the boxes and any unknown words are
clarified by the teacher.
4. Pupils read the TIPS section and listen to teacher’s explanation.
5. Pupils work in groups to discuss 5 questions using the words and phrases in the boxes. (Main Skill)
6. All the groups share their discussion with the rest of the class.
7. Pupils answer 2 additional complex questions: Do you think it’s better to do sport in groups or individually? / What benefit(s) do you
get from doing a group sport like football or volleyball? (Complementary Skill)
8. All the groups share their discussion with the rest of the class.

POST-LESSON: (10 minutes)


1. In pairs, pupils discuss at least one new word/phrase that they have learnt today. (Self/Peer Assessment)
2. Teacher collect responses from pupils. (Lollipop sticks)
3. Teacher sums up today’s lesson.
