GLOSSARY OF TERMS

Civil Works: The design, erection and conservation of the naturally built environment,
which could be in the form of roads, bridges, etc.

Foundation: The lowest part of a building structure, normally of concrete mass, that is
dug into the ground and bears the downward force of the building

Array Installation: The process of fixing solar panels to the roof, building face or concrete
foundations

Defects Liability Period: The period after practical completion of the project where the
contractor remains liable under the signed contract for dealing with any
defects of the completed works
