Real punishments for real crimes

Nowadays young offenders receive different punishment than adult criminals for the
same or very similar crimes, something that from my point of view does not have any
sense and I will explain why I see it this way.
In fact, during the childhood it is important to prepare children and young adults for
their adulthood, in order to not to let them commit several error that could be easily
avoided with some good education, in fact giving young offenders easiest punishment
only reinforces the intention to re-offend as they now know that they wont be hardly
punished.
As I said, harder punishments are not only a measure to dissuade them to re-offend
but also in order to prepare and warn the younger generations of how hard can be
adulthood and the necessity of them taking a responsible approach to it order to be
successful in life.
The opposition to this point of view may say that in fact treating children that hard
may mark them for life and turn them into true criminals that may provoke harder and
more important crimes in the future.
As far as I am concerned, I consider that education is the best way to avoid crime and
problems in society, but as every person, non-adults should also have responsibilities.
Furthermore, rights without obligation and responsibility leads to chaos.

(NOTE: This is not my opinion, in fact I do not have any strong opinions in this topic, I
just started to wrote as inspiration came :P)
