PREFACE
Piping or pipe is the object that is used for various types of fluid. More in detail, piping or pipe is
a system other from one another which enabled to transport the fluid from one location to another
location. In the world of engineering, piping or pipe is a separate discipline in order to obtain good
design, the right material and sufficient flexibility.

Piping or pipe are used in variety of applications in both industry and the private sector. Piping or
pipe is important equipment and have many contributes for line process in manufacture. Good
maintenance need to keep condition and reliability of piping. Inspection is initial step of maintenance that
have purpose to get and collect information about current condition of equipment. The information found
from inspection as reference to choose what kind of maintenance applied accurately. Damage or defect
parts need corrective action and corrective maintenance to repair them and as anticipation to avoid
damage or defect second time. If equipment in good condition periodic maintenance, preventive and
predictive maintenance are best choice.

Inspection activities for packcage A-1 of CAP-TAM 2019 have done for 89 days from september
13, 2019 up to December 10, 2019 effectively, and assigned 9 person authorized inspector consist of 2
person welding inspector, 1 Coating Inspector 5 persons NDT Inspector. The quantity of equipments in
package A-1 Package was consist of 2(two) Man Job Activity:

1. QC FOR PIPING ECR (SUPPORTING EGD)

Contractor : PT. JEL, PT. ASUKA.
2. QC FOR MTN PIPING DEFECT.
Contractor : PT. ASUKA, PT. SHINKO PLANTECH, PT SANKYU.

Methodology of inspector are visual inspection before cleaning, after cleaning and after repair,
followed by dimensional check and non destructive testing. Methods of non destructive testing here are
liquid penetrant testing performed after cleaning and after repair if any. base on international standard in
process piping, welding, coating and non destructive testing and requirement from owner. Inspection have
performed based on international standard in process piping, welding, coating and non destructive testing
and requirement from owner. Data as result of inspection then processed to be information and written in
report of inspection that consist of executive summary report, summary inspection result, visual
inspection report, and non destructive report, also enclosed equipment certificate, personnel certificate,
and inspection procedure.

In conclusion, result of visual inspection and NDT inspection enough comprehensive and useful
as reference to next inspection as comparative data, and to select type of maintenance, repair and
corrective action.

I. Introduction
I.1. Scope of Work

In according to agreement with PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical, Tbk., PT. Thai NDT shall
be perform visual inspection general condition of piping material, piping repair including
preparation, repairmen process, technique and inspection after repairmen finish. Visual
inspection is also shall inspection to painting/coating, welding defect and perform Non
Destructive Test at all facilities of PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical, Tbk located at
Ciwandan.
We shall perform field inspection with three step consist of inspection before cleaning,
inspection after cleaning, and inspection after repair/as found that required to ensure the
piping is safe and met with requirements for the operating.

II. Executive Summary

We conduct inspection for piping items base in FIN from contractor or any request by CAP
at all area facilities in Chandra Asri Petrochemical, Tbk.

II.1.Methodology

b. Visual Inspection ( Witness Leak Test), Visual Welding Inspection
c. Coating/Painting Inspection
d. Non Destructive Testing (DYE PENETRANT TESTING)

II.3. Inspection and Testing
The inspection has been performed to determine the integrity of piping system for safe
operation and to assure the continued safe operation of piping system. To achieve of that
result we have verify and performs inspection for each items. That inspection has
performance is as follows:

II.3.1. Visual Inspection

PT. Thai NDT Indonesia As Chandra Asri Petrochemical Representative was
Conduct visual Inspection to inspect general condition of piping material, piping
repair, including preparation, repairemen process, technique and inspection after
repairemen finish.

Result of Inspection:
In generally all of the piping are in good condition. This visual inspection perform
base on contractor FIN, here we attach number of joints base on contractor FIN as
follow :
1. PT. SHINKO PLANTECH (1621 joint)
2. PT. SANKYU (1684)
3. PT. JURONG ENGINEERING LESTARI (2503 joint)
4. PT. ASUKA (1531 joint)

II.3.2. Coating/Painting Inspection

Coating inspection has performs to inspect general condition of coating piping
material, piping repair, including preparation, repairmen process, technique and
inspection after repairemen finish.

Result of Inspection
In generally all of the coating piping are in good condition. This coating inspection
perform base on contractor FIN (FIELD INSPECTION NOTICE).

II.3.3. Non Destructive Test (NDT)

Non Destructive Test has been performs to satisfy that the piping has not occurs
discontinuity in the welding joint such as crack, porosity, etc. The NDT was carried
out are Scope Of Work PT. Thai NDT Indonesia main activity work is to witness
every visual inspection, Dye Penetrant Test that conduct by every contractor as PT.
Chandra Asri Petrochemical, representative and ensure that All Dye Penetrant
Activity was Comply Bases on Code And Standard PT. Thai NDT Indonesia also
conduct counter check PT. Thai NDT Indonesia also shall Sign in contractor report
as PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical representative.

Result of Inspection

Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) has been performed on the weld joints base on
contractor FIN, In generally the weld joints piping on good condition, not found

unacceptable indication, a critically defect as like crack, porosity and other
discontinuity, here we attach number of joints base on contractor FIN as follow:
