Flushing Dinner

Shanghai Food (dumplings, baozi, soups)

Yi Feng Yuan - Shanghainese Restaurant, reviews say food is tasty/inexpensive
Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao - soup dumplings, rated pretty high
Joe’s Shanghai - rated very high, soup dumplings
White Bear - looks really good, really small with limited seating (hole in the wall place) but
speciality is Chinese wontons

Sichuan/Hebai Food (more heavy, stir fry, spicy, meat heavy)

Szechuan Mountain House - have been here before, good Sichuan food
Daxi Restaurant - have also been here, good Sichuan food, more expensive than Sichuan
Mountain House ($20-25 per person)
Lao Chengdu - more lowkey Sichuan food, a lot more casual
Zhou’s Yummy - lamb kebabs, if anyone is interested, seems very casual but kebabs are a big
thing (hole in the wall place)

Xian/Hubai Food (hand-pulled noodles, noodle soups, Chinese burgers)

Wang Xiang Lou (望湘楼) - more casual Hubei (origin of coronavirus, idk if that should be of
any consideration) restaurant, seems authentic, mainly stir fry/meats
Henan Fengwei - Henan food, seems casual, hand-pulled noodles in soup type of deal
Xi'an Famous Foods (西安名吃) - okay, I’ve heard so much about this place, and Xian food is
really good, I hope it’s not overhyped/not sure what it means that it’s so popular (Xian food is
hand-pulled noodles in soup with meat in bread)

Cantonese Food (lighter, soupy, wontons)

Fu Yuan - small food shop, but known for their cheap authentic food/fish ball cheong fun, long
lines, apparently Billy Joel recorded a music video here?
Sifu Chiu - casual canto food, seems chill, menu on the table type deal

Other
New World Mall Food Court - HUGE food court, very crowded last time I went
- Tarim Uyghur Cuisine, I love Uyghur food
Mad For Chicken - not really Chinese food, but Korean fried chicken if people are craving!

Flushing Dessert

Spot Dessert Bar - have been before, unique/creative desserts, on the pricier side, limited
seating
520 iF Cha Dessert Bar - seems like a normal dessert bar, with waffles, ice cream, etc.
Prince Tea House - seems very bougie LOL, cakes and crepe cakes, seems like moderate price
to expensive, actual place to sit down and order from
Xing Fu Tang - boba, popular brand from Taiwan, known for Brown Sugar Boba Milk, recently
opened
Mango Mango Dessert - seems more Hong Kong (love HK desserts), a lot of mango apparently
Kulu Desserts - seems more Hong Kong, casual/cheaper
SoyBean Chen Flower Shop - local small stand who makes tofu pudding, very local mainland
Chinese dessert, high praise given in reviews
Young’s Dessert Bar - cakes and crepes, seems more bougie
