I. OBJECTIVES:
The students should be able to:
A. identify the different activities under Philippine Physical Fitness Test (PPFT);
B. recognize the different Physical Fitness Components being measured by the different
activities in the PPFT; and
C. determine if the activities in the PPFT are Health-Related Test or Skill-Related Test.
II. CONTENT
TOPIC: Active Recreation (Physical Fitness Test)
A. Readings:
The ability to function and performing your day to day chores comfortably and effectively throughout the workday as
well as handling extra emergencies as well as stress exercises without breaking a sweat is known as Physical fitness.
HEALTH-RELATED TEST
This test was specifically designed to test a student's abilities concerning muscular endurance, muscular strength,
muscular flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance.
COMPONENTS
1. Cardiovascular endurance – The body’s ability to deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues and organs and the
ability to utilize them over sustained periods of time.
2. Muscular strength - The ability of your muscles to exert force.
3. Muscular endurance - The ability of your muscles to exert force over an extended period of time.
4. Flexibility - The ability to move our joints and muscles through their full range of motion.
5. Body composition - The amount of fat on a person as compared to the net body mass is known as the body
composition.
SKILL-RELATED TEST
This is a series of test to identify and improves one's abilities to perform sport-related skills and to become a better
athlete.

4. Power is the ability to do strength performances at a rapid pace.

senses the signal to move.
6. Speed is the ability to cover a distance in a short time.
