KK34403 HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION
INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT (10%)

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
CLO2 : Describe what the user-centered design cycle is and apply this approach to design
websites or other interactive software systems

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this assignment is to enhance the skills of giving a critical reviews or opinion
based on the certain topics.
TASK:
1. Write a 12 pages REVIEW paper based on any of the following research topics (choose
only ONE) and must relate it with human computer interaction:

▪ Internet of Things (IoT)


▪ Blockchain Technology
▪ Healthcare Mobile Apps
▪ Software Quality
▪ Software Testing
▪ Wearable Technology

(This is only a domain not a title. You must come up with your own title to reflects the
contents based on the topic of your choice)

2. You may also choose another topic (other than listed in (1)).
3. Next, search any relevant articles (journals, proceeding, technical papers) related to the
topic of your choice – minimum of 30 articles/references. You may use any databases
(IEEE, ACM, etc) which can be accessed through the library UMS.

SUBMISSION:
1. Date: 5th May 2020
2. Format:
a. Minimum of 12 pages (excluding references), Font Times New Roman 12pt,
single spacing.
b. Front page (excluded from the page requirements): Title, Name and Matric
No.
c. Table of Content (excluded from the page requirements)
d. Abstract and keywords (excluded also)
e. Introduction
f. Background
g. Materials and method (your searching strategies, can elaborate here)
h. Your critical review here
i. Conclusion
(item (g) until (h) is only a suggestion, you may have different format).
3. Every submission must be attached with a plagiarism report. You may use any open
source plagiarism detection/checker application. Your assignment must achieve <=
15% similarities only.

MARKING SCHEME

Criteria Marks
• Follow a proper format of writing a review 5 marks
paper
• Ability to write/review critically about the 15 marks
topics (contents)
• Originality of the ideas 8 marks
• Materials and method 7 marks
• The quality of references (journal, proceedings) 5 marks
Total (10%) 40 marks
