PROJECT ASSIGNMENT (GROUP)

The purpose of this assignment is to assess the understanding of selected repertoire and to deliver the
contents through short-presentation format.

The assigned task is piano solo work(s) by your chosen composer.

In this assignment,

• Present a 5 minutes presentation,


• present and include relevant information such as the history, background information, musical
elements, and any other information related to the repertoire,
• provide examples by playing selected excerpts of the musical passages supporting the
discussion,
• include additional information such as full name, student’s identification number, course code
and name, semester and year, and title of the project

• Display excellent organization and planning. Excellent flow of information.
• Display confidence. Excellent pace of material presentation. Excellent time
management. Clear articulation and excellent voice projection. Good

• Thorough understanding of relevant material. Show evidence of thorough
preparations.
B • Good information provided with effective use of handouts and/or visual aids.
• Display good organization and planning. Good flow of information.
• Display some confidence. Good pace of material presentation. Good time
management. Good articulation and voice projection. Develop considerable
amount of communication/interaction with the audience.
• Good understanding of relevant material. Show evidence of good preparations.
C • Sufficient information provided with fair use of handouts and/or visual aids.
• Display sufficient organization with some inconsistencies and adequate
planning. Some inconsistent flow of information.
• Display a little confidence. Adequate pace of material presentation. Minor
issue in time management. Good articulation and voice projection.
Communication/interaction with the audience is limited.
• Fair understanding of relevant material. Show evidence of sufficient
preparations.
D/F • Superficial information with ineffective use of handouts and/or visual aids.
• Lack of organization and planning. Sporadic flow of information.
• Did not display any sign of confidence. Pace of material presentation is

projection. Communication/interaction with the audience is non-existence.
