MINUTES OF THE MEETING
Date: July 19, 2020

Venue: Senior High School Faculty Room

The first LAC Session started with a prayer led by Mrs. Glenda Claire Legreso followed
by the checking of attendance by the SHS In-charge, Dr. Mavie Hollite. The following agenda
were discussed:
A. Dengue Outbreak
Mr. Johnas Biboso reminded the group regarding the clean-up activity on
July 27, 2019 where teachers and students should wear long sleeves, pants,
coats/jackets/knee socks for protection.
Moreover, dengue cases per advisory class must be reported to the office
for awareness and prevention.
B. TIP (Teacher Induction Program) for Teachers

Dr. Hollite discussed the TIP for teachers where this program is intended
for those teachers who are in 0-3 years in service. There will be Saturday
sessions and the tentative date for Orientation will be on Saturday, July 27,
2019.
C. Instructional Supervision for COT

Dr. Hollite reminded the group to schedule their own class observation as
early as possible in order to accomplish the four (4) COT.
D. PTA Assembly
There will be General PTA Assembly on Friday, July 26, 2019, 1 PM- 5 PM
at the Cultural Hall.

Mrs. Daisy Espulgar informed the group that there will be an Oplan
Kalusugan, a simultaneous discussions intended for Grade 11 and Grade 12 on
July 25, 2019.
F. Gulayan sa Paaralan
Ms. Lawrence Pamotillo assigned the areas per advisory class for the
another innovation of the SHS, Gulayan sa Paaralan.
Without any further concerns to be discussed, the LAC session ended at exactly 11:30 in
the morning.

2nd Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session

Date: August 2, 2019

Time Started: 3:00 PM
Time Ended: 4:30 PM
The 2nd LAC Session meeting started with a prayer led by Mr. Arnel Villaruel followed by
the checking of attendance by the SHS In-charge, Dr. Mavie Hollite. Then, Ms. Reshiel Ace
Lagarto, LAC secretary, read the minutes of the previous meeting.
Dr. Mavie Hollite led the group discussion regarding the Localization, Indigenization and
Contextualization of Instructional Materials. She prepared activities and self-reflection for the
teachers as well as she gave an assignment to be discussed on the 3 rd LAC session.
After the first session, this was followed by another topic discussed by Mrs. Febie
Sumagaysay regarding Classroom Management, Instructions and Techniques. There was a
group sharing on how teachers managed their best and worst scenarios in teaching and some
of their teaching techniques. She also reviewed the codes in the Curriculum Guide and assigned
a task to be presented on the next session.
The LAC session ended at 4:30 PM since there was a vigil service scheduled right after
the meeting

3rd Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session

Date: September 5, 2019

Time Started: 10:55 AM
Time Ended: 12 noon
The 3rd LAC Session meeting started with a prayer led by Ms. Lawrence Mae Pamotillo
followed by the reading of the previous minutes of the meeting by the LAC Secretary, Ms.
Reshiel Ace Lagarto.
The first topic in the session was Assessment facilitated by Mrs. Colleen Hyacinth
Cabayao. Some of the salient points on Mrs. Cabayao’s topic are the following: the importance
of classroom assessment, the components of the Table of Specification (TOS), difference of
formative and summative assessment, item analysis, and lastly, she informed the group to
create their own rubric as an assignment.
The second topic was about Guidance and Counselling facilitated by Ms. Natividad de los
Santos. Before introducing the concepts and important key points, there was a sharing of
experiences within the group about guiding and counselling the students. Moreover, she
further discussed the importance of guidance services in the school.
For the other matters, Mrs. Helen Panes, SHS administrative staff, reminded the group
regarding the filing of leave: sick leave and personal leave and other requirements in processing
it.
Without any further clarifications, the LAC session ended at 12 noon.

4th Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session

Date: October 3, 2019

Venue: Dr. Colleen Aujero Memorial Hall
Time Ended: 5:00 PM
The 4th LAC Session started with a prayer led by Mrs. Cynthia Torilla followed by the
words of welcome by the Officer-in-charge, school Principal III, Mrs. Mercy Grace Parreño and
the Senior High School Coordinator, Mr. Jerry M. Jison. Then, Ms. Reshiel Ace Lagarto read the
previous minutes of the meeting followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Mrs.
Mercy Arcenal. Sir Edwin P. Mosura discussed about Action Research. Some of the key points
discussed are the following: quantitative and qualitative research, forming the research
questions, research objectives, reliability tests and other types of research. Also, he had an
activity with the SHS teachers on how to create an action research title and he let them present
it by subject group.
The SHS Teachers Capability Building and Action Research as the LAC session topic
facilitated by Mrs. Mercy Arcenal ended at 5:00 in the afternoon.

The 5th LAC Session started with a prayer led by Mrs. Febie Sumagaysay followed by the
reading of the previous minutes of the meeting by the LAC Secretary, Ms. Reshiel Ace Lagarto.
The following agenda were discussed during the meeting:
A. SBM WINS
Mrs. Daisy Espulgar reminded the group regarding the comfort room
facilities, maintaining its cleanliness as well as each section must follow the
handwashing schedule.
B. Kapwalikasan
Mrs. Espulgar reminded each adviser to maintain their assigned areas and
other subject teachers will help take charge the said areas since other teachers
will be out for Congressional Meet.
C. Garbage Segregation
Garbage segregation should be strictly practiced inside the classroom.
The school already provided each room three trash cans for proper segregation.
D. Parangal/Card Day
Mrs. Espulgar reminded those teachers who were not able to pass their
consolidated grades. The advisers need it as soon as possible since the Parangal
Day is fast approaching.
E. Congressional Meet
Some of the teachers will be out for Congressional Meet. Subject teachers
with vacant time will take charge of their classes for individual tasks and group
activities.
F. Christmas sa Dueñas
The SHS Department was once again the in-charge of the school’s
Christmas tree. The following materials were needed for the making of the
indigenous Christmas tree:
 Frame
 Electrical wires
 Bottle caps of Red C2 (10 pcs./student)
 Mt. Dew plastic bottles (5 pcs./student)
 1.5 liter plastic bottle (2 pcs./student?
 Any plastic water bottles (5 pcs./student)
G. DRRM
Mr. Johnas Biboso, DRRM Coordinator, reminded the group regarding the
Fire Drill on November 14, 2019 at 9am. Moreover, he asked the group if who
will be the possible representatives/participants for the DRRM seminar/training
wherein the tentative date is on November 28-29, 2019.
Without any further concerns to be discussed, the LAC session ended at 5PM.

The 6th LAC session topic was Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) facilitated
by the school’s DRRM coordinators, Mr. Johnas Biboso and Mrs. Glenda Claire Legreso.
The session started with a prayer led by Mrs. Cynthia Torilla. This was followed by the
reading of the previous minutes of the meeting by the LAC secretary, Ms. Reshiel Ace Lagarto.
The two discussants introduced their topic with the commonly used terminologies in DRRM and
further discussed the said topic especially on how the school responds when it comes to
disasters/calamities. The session ended with a group activity regarding the climate change
adaptation plan.

The session started with a prayer led by Mrs. Christyl Joy Benemerito. The following
agenda were discussed during the session:
A. DTR Concerns
Mrs. Daisy Espulgar reminded the group to comply the necessary
requirements before submitting the DTR to Mrs. Helen Panes. This is to lessen
the photocopy attachment as well as following the proper way of complying the
DTR requirements.
B. Midterm Examination
Copies of TOS and exams should be complied before January 13, 2020.
The Midterm schedule will be on January 14-15, 2020.
C. SARDO
Passing of grade sheets shall be on January 24, 2020.
D. Proposed SHS Events

The proposed TVL Expo will be on February 14, 2020 and the proposed
SHS night still needs to have a permission letter to the Division Office.
E. Evaluation Concerns
There will be four (4) folders to be prepared for the unannounced
evaluation. These folders are the SHS program, support and governance,
linkages, plus factor and the WinS. The assigned committees shall start
preparing the needed papers in the folder for the upcoming evaluation.
F. Deliberation
Several students per section were identified to be at risk of failure or
dropping out. These students will be given a letter on January 13, 2020
for a parent-teacher conference on January 16, 2020.

The meeting started with a prayer led by Ms. Natividad de los Santos followed by the
reading of the previous minutes of the meeting by the LAC secretary, Ms. Reshiel Ace Lagarto.
The following agenda were discussed during the session:
A. Clean Up Drive Concerns
Mrs. Daisy Espulgar reminded the group regarding the Limpyo Iloilo, a simultaneous
Clean-Up Drive at 2 PM. There are assigned areas for each section and they must clean
these areas until 5 PM with the supervision of the class advisers and subject teachers.
B. Checking of Forms
Grade 11 In-charge: Mr. John Jerwin Palmares and Mrs. Febie Sumagaysay
Grade 12 In-charge: Mrs. Mercy Arcenal and Mrs. Daisy Espulgar
Schedule:
March 3-4, 2020 – Grade 10 and Grade 12
March 9-10, 2020 – Grades 7,8,9,11
C. Important Schedules
 February 26, 2020- Assessment of Learners by subject area
 March 11, 2020- PTA General Assembly
 March 16, 2020- Fire Prevention Month
 March 19-20, 2020- Post Test
D. Language Proficiency
Ms. Reshiel Ace Lagarto led the discussion regarding the language proficiency.
She had a pre-test for the group, in a form of spelling. Then she further discussed the
commonly mispronounced words as well as the common grammatical errors especially in
school.
E. Research Dissemination
After the first topic regarding the language proficiency, Mrs. Mercy Arcenal
disseminated important information regarding research. After highlighting the main
points in her topic, she encouraged everyone to create their own Action research.
Without any further clarifications and concerns to be discussed, the meeting

ended at 5:00 PM.
