Title Standard Operating Procedure for flue gas analyzer operation

1.0 Purpose:
To give guide lines for usage of flue gas analyzer.

2.0 Scope:
Applies to flue gas analyzer
3.0 Responsibility:
HOS Operation and Process Engineer, is responsible for implementation of this SOP.

4.0 Procedure
 Clean the gas analyzer probe with waste cloth.

 Switch on the gas analyzer and wait for zero setting

 Select “gas measurement’

 Select program 1 for CO limit 1000 ppm

 Select Coal

 Ensure that O2 is matching atmospheric air i.e. 20.9 %.

 Insert the gas analyzer into the measuring port.

 Close the exposed portion of measuring port with waste cloth or gloves to avoid external air
entry and to provide undisturbed measuring conditions.

 Wait for few seconds and start observing the measured digital data in the gas analyzer.

 Note down the data after attaining constant stable value.

1. Calibrate the equipment before due date of calibration

2. Un authorized not allow to use this equipment
3. Calculate the service life equipment for procurement
4. Avoid the Idle use of equipment
