MINI PROJECT

(this is instead of field project - to be done using ONLY e-mode -


i.e, net based / from websites of organisations)

Identify (through website) any organisation involved in marketing of any product or service.
Study / Learn / Analyse and prepare a report (min 8 pages in MS word) on following:
Note: If there are a large number of products / services – limit the number.

1. Background of the company and marketing objectives of the company.


2. Identify complete product mix–matrix of the company (product lines, width, etc.)
3. Identify and write about S-T-D-P strategies of the company for different products / services
4. Choose selected products and in each case, show the levels of product (like core benefit,
generic product, etc.)
5. Place the company’s products on the PLC. Give a brief note
6. Note the pricing strategies followed for various products
7. Write / about sketch the channel/s used for distributing the products
and your observations on channel management
8. Write the marketing communications used by the company:
(i) any sales promotion scheme implemented by the company
(ii) advertising campaign (various media used)
(attach sample print Ads, narrate about any TV commercial used)
9. What are the PR/event management activities?
10. Does the company use any technology-supported marketing / Digital marketing techniques?
Elucidate.
11. List down the competitors to the company.
12. Identify any one market research report in web (of any company / product / service) and
prepare a 2-page summary (who conducted, for whom, research objectives, methodology,
inferences & suggestions given).
13. Draw your conclusions from the study

- to be done as an individual or team assignment


(if it is team – max of 8 students in a a team;
team interaction should be only thro e-mode- whatsapp, mail, phone, etc. No visits or face-to-face
interactions between members)
- SOFT COPY of the Report (min of 8 pages) in MS word to be submitted 10 days before the end of
semester (from email ID of any one member in each team)
- Cover page should indicate Dept name, Course name / Mini Project, names & RRN of team
members, etc.
- Good analysis / leaning (revealed through the report) will yield good scores
