Coolant Temperature Below Normal

This is symptom tree

Cause Correction

Read the fault codes with an electronic 
service tool. Refer to the Troubleshooting 
and Repair Manual, Generator Drive and 
Electronic fault codes active or high  Generator Set Control System QSK60G 
counts of inactive fault codes  Engine Series, Bulletin 4021353 for fault 
code troubleshooting. Troubleshoot 
remaining fault codes before proceeding 
with the remaining nodes of this tree. 

Refer to Procedure 008-011 (Coolant 
Engine is operating at low ambient  Heater) in Section 8 for proper coolant 
temperature  heater and circulating pump operation (if 
installed). 

Use an electronic service tool to check 
the coolant temperature sensor circuit. 
Refer to Procedure 019-019 (Engine 
Coolant temperature sensor is  Coolant Temperature Sensor) in Section 
malfunctioning  19 in the Troubleshooting and Repair 
Manual, Generator Drive and Generator
