There is nothing greater than helping others, even in other

worlds. By helping others, we get both visible and invisible results.
The invisible results of our noble actions, will help us in this
birth as well as in svargaloka, where the Jiva goes after death of
the physical body.
The word ¦z@uÒ refers to the Devas - celestial beings.
¦z@uÒ E»Pzx® means, even in Deva loka,
Not only in this world, in Devaloka also, it is very rare to
experience something more greater than, what is gained by helping
others. (by parokapakaaram).
No other noble action, is equivalent to helping others. This
noble action, this Dharma of helping others itself, is great. Its benefit
is also greater than the result of any other action.
We feel happy, while helping others. Other noble actions, may
not give happiness, while doing.
Helping others has to be done cheerfully. There is lot of
possibility of being happy, while helping others. Seeing the joy of
the receiver, the giver also feels delighted.
Veda says that, “By helping others, even an enemy becomes
a friend). daanena dvishanta: mitraa bhavanti.
In Devaloka, there is no giver or recipient. We cannot help
anybody there. This meaning is also hidden in this Kural.
The joy that one experiences in Devaloka, is a fruit of helping
others in this world.
The happiness that we enjoy by, sharing with others will bring
happiness in this world itself. There will not be a greater happiness
than this, even in Devaloka.
Thus, we can understand that paroopakaaram or helping others
always brings happiness in this world and in Devaloka.
There is nothing equivalent to the fame and Punyam (result of
noble actions) got by helping others, anywhere, in any world.
The greatest Punyam and joy can be obtained only through
helping others.
Let us now see the word by word meaning,

It is indeed very rare to get an opportunity to do a noble action,

that is greater than helping others, in this world and in the world of
the Devas.
“The magnanimous people never die. They never get
destroyed. They don’t face obstacles or sorrows. They win over
this world and the world of the Devas, by their power of giving” says
Rig Veda (Mantra 10.117.6).
